A POLITICAL AND MORAL VICTORY FOR CAMBODIA
Because of irrefutable evidence of border encroachment presented by the Sam Rainsy Party as shown at http://tinyurl.com/yeaoxyf , the Cambodian government has started to reconsider their official position on the issue of border delimitation with Vietnam. This change in attitude has been exposed in SRP January 29 statement “Government admits mistake on border post location,” which can be read at http://tinyurl.com/yhnee57
But even before the Cambodian government was forced to realize their mistake, the Vietnamese authorities implicitly but publicly recognized their own mistake on November 16 when they removed themselves “temporary border posts” (#184, 186 and 187) in the immediate vicinity of post #185 which Sam Rainsy removed on October 25, 2009. Vietnamese border officials took those alleged border demarcation stakes back to Vietnam, which constitutes a political and moral victory for Cambodia. Hopefully, the Vietnamese (tactical?) retreat will pave the way for Cambodian farmers to recover their ancestral rice fields.

For the moment, the GRC is the judge of the political career of Sam Rainsy.
And the GRC has all the powers to end the political career of Sam Rainsy, if Sam Rainsy continues to play the game of his friend Thai Abisith vajejiva by trying to light the 2nd front in the East.
The experts on the question of the borders do not always agree among themselves. You can always find experts to say the opposite of the opinion of another expert. It's the unlimited debate.
There is a difference between the attitude and actions of a responsible politician who did a job of opposition politician and who respects democracy and the constitution of his country and the attitude of an extremist politician who does not recognize the legitimacy of a government.
Khmer people is not stupid.

But Cambodian people must sentence the Cambodian court and the CPP for betraying their own country.
This is just the beginning 6 wooden sticks, there are a long way to go on the 1350 kilometers boundary line needed to be inspect and install border markers accurately and exactly according to the French Bonne Map of 1954.
ReplyDeleteOn ethnic cleansing of the Khmer Krom in Vietnam. Cambodian should do the same cleansing all the Vietnamese population out of Cambodian territory. To make it fair and balance if you forced Khmer Krom out of their motherland we will force all the Vietnamese out of Cambodia. The other way is balancing 1 million new Khmer people should be allow to live in Vietnam and 1 million Vietnamese people are allow to live in Cambodia other millions Vietnamese will have to go back to Vietnam.

ReplyDeleteso in reality the courts didnt even look at any of the information provided. it could of been settled with a laptop and google earth. sam rainsy and the 2 farmers still get the jail time and they were right, so now there is just the cpp. there is no real law in cambodia.

Under the Cambodian People's Party Hun Sen Khmer Rouge Regime, no criminals that has been committed crimes against journalists, political opponents, leaders of the Free Trade Union, innocent men, women and children have ever been brought to justice.
From 27th January 2010 onward, Xam Rainxy is a convicted criminal. So, his self name party also becomes a Criminal Party.
ReplyDeleteIt's so obvious for criminal, they have never admitted their crime but at the same time, they always try to say or show something to cover up their crime and get public sympathy but no matter what they crying out, no one is going to believe or take criminal's word seriously.
As a convicted criminal, Xam RainXy has no right to demand anything at all let alone put any condition to the government. There are two options for Xam Rainxy to face with. Either comes to serve jail time (2 years) in Cambodia or stays a coward and shame in France.
Since Xam Rainxy has uprooting border markings, he is often said that he will take this border's issue to International Court, but so far, there is no International Court. Right now, through interview with Radio Free Asia, he is shameless mentioned about International Court again. When he will complaint to International Court?? As I am aware, International Court in Xam Rainxy's view could be in Beijing and the judge is former King Sihanouk.
