Thaksin says Thai soldiers are like watermelons. Not durians

Thaksin Shinawatr tweeted the other day, tongue-in-cheek perhaps, that Thai soldiers were like watermelons.
"They may be green on the outside. But inside, they are red."
He was apparently suggesting that a large number of military officers might in fact be his supporters despite their public statements to the contrary.
But as soon as that comment was spotted on Twitter, a number of tweeple immediately came up with their reactions.
The most interesting among them, to me, were probably a few of them who tweeted:
"Durians are also green on the outside. But inside, it's yellow all over..."

We love Mr. Thaksin. But not the other guy.
ReplyDeleteThe PAD is yellow like Durian innard. The PAD invaded Preah Vihear. They caused problem for the two countries. Abbhishit innard is also yellow like the PAD.

ReplyDeleteDo you see up on top? That's how a Thai person call a Vietnamese, Yoon. It is equivalent to Youn in Khmer. This is how they pronounce it over there in Thailand. So Youn is NOT a pejorative term.

Thai king expeled Taksin because he wants steal the communication industry from Taksin ?
