The lawsuit case against the uprooting of border post in Svay Rieng province did not even conclude yet and now the border problem is raging into Takeo province already. The opposition criticized the planting of border post 270 located in Borey Chulsa district, Takeo province, which led to the loss of several dozens of hectares of rice fields belonging to Cambodian farmers. However, the Cambodian government claimed that these lands are merely grass fields and that they do not belong to anybody. Nevertheless, opposition MPS asked the government to delay the planting of border posts to allow time for a proper evaluation.
Internal disputes in Cambodia on border problems are raging all over again, this time in Takeo in province. This problem is taking place when the lawsuit case against the uprooting of a border post in Svay Rieng has not even concluded yet.
During these last few days, the opposition criticized the loss of rice fields in Takeo province stemming from the planting of border post no. 270 in Chey Chauk commune, Borey Chulsa district. The local population protested, indicating that a border post was planted on top of their rice fields which they have worked on for a long time now.
On Thursday, a group of about 20 SRP MPs signed a petition sent to Hun Xen asking the government to delay the planting of border posts in Takeo province temporarily to allow a clear evaluation before new work can be proceeded. According to the SRP MPs’ petition, several dozens of hectares of rice field lands belonging to Cambodian farmers are lost from the border post planting.
However, the Takeo authority, as well as the government border committee, rejected this information, claiming that the land where the border post is planted is a grass field along the border and it does not belong to anybody. Government border experts accused the opposition of inflating the information to incite people to demonstrate against the government.
The problem in Takeo province is reminiscent of the problem in Svay Reing, there, opposition leader Sam Rainsy was sentenced by the Svay Rieng provincial court to 2-year of jail time for destruction of public properties after he uprooted border stakes in Samrong district. Two Cambodian farmers who were involved in the uprooting with Sam Rainsy were sentenced to 1-year of jail time each. Currently, Sam Rainsy is also being sued at the Phnom Penh municipal court for falsifying public document after he published maps showing the loss of Cambodian territories. The government sued Sam Rainsy, accusing him of publication of maps that do not show appropriate coordinates.
SRP MPs plan to visit the location of the border post in Takeo in the near future. Meanwhile, opposition leader Sam Rainsy is conduction a campaign overseas to fight against the government in regards to the planting of border posts with Vietnam.

ReplyDelete= Well...Takeo authority and the government border committee must prove beyond any doubt that the border post is not planted on Cambodian territories according Cambodian international map base on the exact GPS location. Once again the GPS will be used to pinpoint the exact location of the border posts to verify the location between Cambodia and Vietname!

270-171 = 99 poles mean 99 years lease. We will be gone by before lease expire. Yuon is twice the size is not enough for produce more population of 70M and will double 140M within 99 years. Today name had changed from Svay Rieng to Vanh Vienh province.

ReplyDelete=There is no such thing as the no man land! The no man land or the white zone was invented by the Vietcong government in order to push Dr.Hun Sen the Vietcong puppet to give more land to the Vietcong to fulfill his obligation as the Cambodian Vietcong puppet government!
Cambodia and Vietname have a clear define map since 1953! Remember Cambodia got independence from France before Vietname got her independence therefore what the Vietcong government claimed has no merit!

It seems that Hun Sen is behind all this land grabbing or selling our khmer land to Viet without people permission. It looks like Hun Sen is trying to pocket from khmer land and then allowing khmer to have nothing left. Hun Sen needs to be very careful. By law only its citizens can purchase the land and it is against the law for any other nation to purchase other country and its belonging. E.g. The countries in the Map are the actual identity and evident to show which nation is which and also its boundary. However people around the world can be part of its citizens, therefore can purchase its land. And, whoever think that they can purchase part of the land and expanding its territory in term of expanding its country apart from the Map that is showing is wrong, if it happened, this be confiscated back legally without question ask. What happen right now is that, other nations are taking advantage of us because they can see that we are vulnerable and are unable to make the decision for ourselves. Hun Sen needs to employ more intellectual people to deal with the outsiders in a way to prevent them from using and abusing us. Just remember this, most of the outsiders have a very bad intention for us, so trust no one. We have to create news laws to protect everyone and to have freedom of speech so that we can identify the problem. However, if Hun Sen or other parties that involved in such lucrative act, in the end they may lose everything, just like Sadam Hunsen or Asama-Ben-laden, because the Lord hates all evil act.Wisdom

ReplyDeleteIt seems that many Khmer along the border will stand up and pick up weapons next to protect their properties from being stolen by the Cambodian government and sell to the Vietnamese government. I can see another revolution coming. It's the border people and the the Khmer Krom will join hands and fight to take back the lands...I fully support their effort, but not really supporting the civil war effort.

into Kampuchea, settling in such key provinces as Kompong Speu, Takeo, and Kompong Cham. Additional tens of thousands of Vietnamese settlers hâve moved into
cities and the disputed frontier area. As fighting between the Vietnamese and résistance
groups affiliated with the ''Coalition Government of Démocratie Kampuchea" intensifies,
the Hanoi régime also has been expanding its logistical-military network. This inciudes the construction of a new road network — popularly called the "New Ho CM Minh Trail" — linking the Vietnamese cities of Hue and Vinh, across Southern Laos,
with Northwestern Kampuchea. Additionally, during the early weeks of 1983, a twentyfive
kilomètres long trench, studded with landmines and bamboo spikes has been constructed just inside the Kampuchean frontier, running from the village of Kop

KI if you are serving Khmers not Yuon, you need to stop mocking around in RED. Your job as KHmer if you are, then search all secret informations (History wrote by real historians by the west) that Yuon have been doing to Cambodia. Post the history How Yuon did kill Khmers, so the Khmers can learn the real history not gossiping. I have so many old documents were written since 1800's, 1900's, I copied from the libraries in Ducth, France, but I have to store them all before they may disppeared. I knew when I start to post them, Yuon will try to kill me as they did to Khmer intellectuals. But I will post them in this very near future for you all to know the facts of savage Yuon.
