So you want Cambodians to live with farm and oxen carts for another 1000 years? I don't see much different from way of life of Khmers on Angkor wat wall to what we have now. Don't you think it's time to make some change and develop the country? Yes the development may affect the lives of some people, but its benefit is far more favorable when you look in to jobs created and how more investors are coming in.
Different time and different era, Khmer empire built Angkor Wat, Bayon & other buildings more than one thousand years ago,but they still stood in good conditions. They made from stones and carved with hand tools.
Can these buildings last for thousand years? The Khmer empire engineers were uncommon from today engineers. Time changed. The people understanding changed too.
The people could go to Mars or other planets in the next few hundred years;they run,but not walk.
Khmer empire buildings were famous, few million people around the world came to visit per year.
How long can be lasted these tall buildings? Few hundred years.
