    Most current MPs and Srnators including royalties signed documents in non Khmer language.

    Mr.Nou Kan raised concern on misused Khmer in documents or speech then but the left over from European influence remains stronger to present.

    Sad ,indeed,for Khmers who are not proud of own identity.

    I started school in 1950 at watt
    (pagoda).It had two classes:first
    grade and second grade.
    The teachers taught 2 hours in
    reading Khmer,but the rest hours
    of the day were French.
    Cambodia was under France influence
    Khmer students learned French more
    their own language.So they adapted
    French way,but not Khmer way.
    I spoke French at school and work,
    but not at home when I was in
    Cambodia.
    All documents wrote in French,but
    not in Khmer.
    Time changed,Cambodians should
    change their behaviors.
    I came to USA in 1981,I couldn't
    read,write,and speak English at
    all.
    I knew five languages in my life,
    I could read Thai and Lao too.
    These two races have changed so
    fast in writing or spelling words.
    I always corrected spellings in
    Khmer in KI Media,but not in
    English.I knew that I am not good
    in English.

    ហើយ ធ្វើឲ្យខ្មែរបាក់ផ្នត់ ដូច្នេះ សូមខ្មែរកែ
    លំអគ្នាម្ដងបន្តិចៗទៅ។
    គ្មាននរណាម្នាក់ចេះគ្រប់ដប់នោះទេ ពោលគឺ
    ចេះត្រង់ដែលចេះ ត្រង់មិនចេះ គួររៀន ឬ
    ជួយកែតម្រង់គ្នា។
    ភាសានិងអ្វីៗមានការប្រែប្រួលទៅតាម
    កាលៈទេសៈ ដូចពោលមកនេះគួរកែសំរួល
    ឲ្យបានសមរម្យ។
    ខ្មែរគួររៀនធ្វើត្រាប់តាមប្រទេសជិតខាងខ្លួនខ្លះ
    សូមមេត្តាកុំធ្វើចិត្តរឹងត្អឹងពេកក្នុងការសរសេរ
    ពាក្យព្យាង្គរាយនិងព្យាង្គតម្រួត។សៀម លាវ
    បានសរសេរព្យាង្គរាយជាងព្យាង្គតម្រួត។
    ឯកសារកត់ត្រាគួរធ្វើជាភាសាខ្មែរនោះ
    ឬ ប្រើភាសាខ្មែរជាទួទៅកាន់តែប្រសើរ។
