Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to withdraw their troops from a provisional demilitarised zone near the disputed Preah Vihear temple.
Indonesian observers will supervise the disputed area around the UNESCO listed temple until the International Court of Justice makes a decision on ownership.
The demilitarised zone was declared in May after border clashes that killed at least eight people earlier this year and another 18 in April.
Thousands of people were also displaced.
The International Court of Justice had ordered both sides to withdraw their troops in July, but neither complied until now.
