Begging mission planned for ECCC’s Tony Kranh

Phnom Penh – The spokesman for the KR Tribunal claimed on Monday that Tony Kranh, the ECCC’s acting director of administration, planned to travel to New York to seek financial support for the ECCC which is undergoing severe fund shortage to pay its staff.

Netr Pheaktra told reporters that Tony Kranh’s trip will take place soon. Nevertheless, Netr Pheaktra claimed that during his trip, Tony Kranh will boast the numerous achievements by this bastard tribunal that is supported by the UN, for example the completion of Case 001 (KI-Media note: Duch’s final verdict still has to be decided), and the continuation of Case 002 which involved four three KR leaders.

Netr Pheaktra added that KR Tribunal has strong confidence that donor countries will continue their support even though not a single country has stepped up to announce their support yet.


During the internal meeting by the Cambodian side which took place last Friday, Tony Kranh announced to his staff that there is no fund to pay their salary and this starting from January onward. In fact, Cambodian judges and prosecutors have not seen a dime of their salary since October 2011.

The KR Tribunal which started operation in 2006 always met with financial woes and had to beg for funds from foreign countries on several instances.

    I think this court is looking clearer and clearer an investment for those clown rather than looking for justice for the victims of the regimes. What a shame that the UN can't do nothing about it.
    To those donors: the more money you support, those clown would just enjoy with justice at bay!

    FOR THE SAKE OF CAMBODIAN KRT VICTIMS, PLEASE DO NOT DONATE YOUR GOVERNMENT BUDGET OR SUPPORT THIS ECCC COURT UNLESS THE UNITED NATION REMOVE ECCC OUT OF CAMBODIA THEN THIS COURT WILL BE REAL JUSTICE FOR CAMBODIAN PEOPLE...THANK YOU SIR
