Statement
From
Norodom Sihanouk

Pyongyang (Chhang Sou Won Palace)
Korea D.P.R., March 17, 2006

I just receive a letter, sent from Phnom Penh, by a Compatriot belonging to the Elite who asked me to intervene in order to bring Samdech Krom Preah N. Ranariddh to become the President of the National Assembly again, and to form again with H.E. Samdech Hun Sen, the very prestigious Leader of our RGC [Royal Government of Cambodia], this magic duo which brought happiness, pride to the Khmer People, Country, and Nation (sic).

I am repeating myself one more time that being a retired person, I do not and will not have the right to intervene or mingle with political affairs or others that only concern men and women Citizens who are not senile like me, Politicians, Men in Power and the Persons involved – in particular, S.K.P. N. Ranariddh and Samdech Hun Sen – to whom I sent the letter from the Gentleman or His Excellency in question in the present statement.

Signed: N. Sihanouk
