Cambodian Military Police Involved in Brawl with Villagers Outside Takeo Provincial Court

Source: Licadho

October 14, 2009 - On September 30, 2009, more than 30 villagers fought with military police outside Takeo Provincial Court in an attempt to prevent authorities from detaining a community representative from being arrested on groundless disinformation charges.

After several hours of questioning by Takeo Provincial Court Director and Investigating Judge Tith Sothy, Sib Sen and Ny San were charged with disinformation and wrongful damage of property, which stemmed from a 2008 incident where they had removed a fence built by the mosque leaders to cover village land after declaring that it belonged to the community. No reasons were given by court which subsequently released Sib Sen on bail but arrested and detained Ny San.

The only ways to win over Hun Sen dictatorship is by forces. Without military conflict, CPP will continue to rule many more years to come and Khmer will continue to suffer. Change is what we need in Cambodia. If we wait any longer, YOUN will continue to deepen their roots in every aspect of Khmer as a whole. Let us all come together and fight these bastards to regain what is righfully our in order to retain our true culture and heritage in the name of our glory mighty king Javavarman VII.

This is so sad to see that the Government is so cruel to its own people, let alone the regular people the hired from off the streets to take part in this. This just means that we are our own DESTRUCTION. Just sad to watch how the military, police, regular civilians (hired) can have such an empty heart toward its own people. You would never see Thai military beat their own people during the riots. They showed much restraint. And yet our dysfunctional society in Cambodia lacks Human Compassion.

On a side note: Sometimes taking extreme measure is the only way to catch the corrupt government attention. I hope there will be a rebellion group to start. Still got the northwestern part of Cambodia that was once the last stronghold of Khmer Rouge. We all know that most Khmer Rouge are in capable of fighting. Bunch of old farts now. That would be a good place to start. Hun Sen best Military can't even touch anyone there. The terrain is too Rough.
