EU bans Siem Reap Airways, all Angolan carriers [-Siem Reap Airways is in fact Bangkok Airways?]

BRUSSELS, Nov 14 (Reuters) - The European Commission banned Cambodia's Siem Reap Airways International from operating in the European Union and extended a ban on TAAG Angola Airlines to all carriers certified in Angola, citing safety concerns.

The Commission, executive arm of the 27-country EU, on Friday also maintained a ban on all operations of Ukraine Mediterranean Airlines and Ukraine Cargo Airways, saying they had failed to deal with previous safety concerns.

"The European Commission will pursue actively its dialogue with all states ... to ensure that they conform to internationally required levels of air safety on a sustainable basis," EU Transport Commissioner Antonio Tajani said.

Its a wholly owned subsidiary of bangkok airways. Therefore it is thai. Let them lose business;

Hun sen, we are still waiting for a cambodian national airlines. How long do you still want to keep plundering cambodia.

Have some pride

Last time, it was his daughter...
Whom is only 20th years old at the time.. Hun Mana...
what else do you want..?
Is that necessary?
Don't you know how much it's cost?
Just for the planification of implementing,
it's already cost more than 50 millions dollars US.
Now the economy is slow..
We can wait a little bit... 2 more years.
If it's not profitable, the Okna won't contribute !

Oh Shut the fuck up, you infidel motherfucker (4:30). The EU bans SR Airways because they can't compete with them. The truth of the matter is , it is much much safer to fly SR Airway then to drive anywhere in Europe, and you know it too.

don t put comment if you are not sure about your info.
I work in airport-related industry in Cambodia and :
- Siem Reap International Airways (FT) is 100% owned by Bangkok Airways (PG). (no singaporians, no cambodians). But it is registered under Cambodian law so thay can perform domestic flights (foreign airline can not do domestic flights)
- and this is hopefully for Cambodia because safety records for FT and PG are very good, and much better than cambodian airlines (see how many crashes of cambodian aircrafts and helicopters these last years, no need to remind that one happenned a few days ago)
- FT has been banned by EU not in order to blam FT but to blam SSCA (Cambodian Civil Aviation). EU, as part of IATA, asked SSCA to follow a minimum of regulations (to inspect aircrafts, to have a minimum of emegency plan ,...) but they never did, excepted banning Progress Multitrade (who killed 13 koreans + 8 or 9 cambodians at kirirom) to fly ; anyway they already stoped flying much before this decret ; that was another stupid fake khmer decision, with the hope EU would not see amything. Therefore EU treatened to ban all Cambodian airlines if no more action. They just did it ; only for FT coz only FT has aircrafts that could go up to Europe
Anyway, this is also a 'fake' decision, only to show SSCA has to move its ass, because FT never planned nor plans to fly to EU, therefore no consequence for their operation but for their image, and this, not because of their (good) reliability, but because of bullshit SSCA.

Therefore please, do not blame FT but Cambodian government.
And be lucky FT is flying between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap ; they are loosing money now, all airlines are in very difficult situation.
If you prefer stupid children of high-ranked official to play with planes and to crash them, up to you.

PS : regarding the safety of roads in EU ... better not to check rank of road accidents/killed/imjured in Cambodia compared to Europe or ASEAN countries !

I don't have to convince me. I won't fly the iffy Thai Aiways anyways. They don't deserve my support... and all my Khmer comptriots. Life is priceless...

i'm glad the EU sees the potential time bomb in not following proper safety guidelines in airlines business as millions of people's lives depend on the safety. god bless cambodia.
