JayaVaraman 7 was also Pleu. He had all wealth (mighty rich) to build a strong national defense but he did not do. All he did was building Bayon for himself and his wives and concubines. Yes his wives helped to form a good government while he had a big land. He did not build border like China built a great wall, he did not build any thing like Yuon built so many caves and even canals to alter the enemy.

He was a source of the empire declined. He was a pleu king.
9:50 AM Jayavaraman vii did not build Angkor Wat, he build BAYON. Angkora Wat was built by Sorya Varaman ii, the guy who had thousand topless women called "Apsara". If Khmers don't know his own history, then Khmers are in trouble big time. Why? Yuon studied our history and they knew who did what?
