Nguon Nhel lies to Hun Sen on the number of his personal advisers

Prime minister Hun Sen had heavily attacked Samdech Krom Preah (SKP) Norodom Ranariddh foir his excessive budget spending. However, prime minister Hun Sen does not know that the former 2 vice-presidents of the National Assembly who are CPP members, have numerous advisers also. What stands out the most is the fact that Mr. Nguon Nhel lied to prime minister Hun Sen about the number of his advisers, smack in the middle of an assembly of a large crowd of CPP officials during the inauguration of a bridge in Srok Staung, Kampong Thom.

During the attack made by prime minister Hun Sen, he pointedly asked Mr. Nguon Nhel how many advisers does he have? Nguon Nhel lied in his reply by saying that he has 10 advisers and that Mr. Heng Samrin who is the current interim president of the National Assembly has 20 advisers. After hearing Nguon Nhel’s reply, prime minister Hun Sen requested that Mr. Heng Samrin who will become the full president of the National Assembly in the near future, to have only 4 to 5 advisers. Mr. Hun Sen admitted that he also has numerous advisers but that is because he has a lot of work, and therefore, he needed to have many advisers. He considered the fact that he has many advisers is normal, and that there is nothing wrong with that.

However, high ranking officials in the National Assembly told us that in reality, Nguon Nhel currently has 17 advisers. Therefore, this means that Nguon Nhel lied to prime minister Hun Sen on the number of his advisers smack in the middle of a gathering of high ranking CPP officials. This one observation indicates that the action led by the CPP is a treachery to mislead people to think that they are doing an efficient and OK job. Nevertheless, the fact that Nguon Nhel actually has 17 personal advisers but lied to prime minister Hun Sen sayinh that he only 10, is a serious issue to be considered, it implies a collusion among the CPP leaders who are full of lies and deceits towards the people.

As for Heng Samrin who will become the president of the National Assembly in the near future, Nguon Nhel told Hun Sen that Heng Samrin has only 20 advisers. In reality, it is reported that Heng Samrin currently has 72 advisers who, almost all of them, have been fatly remunerated. Mr. Heng Samrin told news reporters that he would need more advisers when he will be the president of the National Assembly. This means that expense incurred by the leadership of the National Assembly will also increase accordingly.

The past dispute such as the fact that the National Assembly employs too many people, in reality, it was learnt that these employees belong to the CPP party who obtained their appointments through Messrs. Heng Samrin and Nguon Nhel, while, at that time, SKP Norodom Ranariddh was only by himself at the National Assembly. Therefore, for the large number of employees in the National Assembly, a lot of them are Nguon Nhel and Heng Samrin's people
