Mrs. Mu Sochua, SRP deputy-Secretary-general, declared on Saturday that the CPP and Prime minister Hun Sen continues to ensnare members of her political party still.
Mrs. Mu Sochua added that right now, the CPP continues to practice the strategy of breaking up the SRP, just like what it did with other parties in the past.
It should be noted that SRP defectors who recently joined the CPP have been nominated as government advisors by Hun Sen.
Mu Sochua said: “It is factual, it cannot be denied, after the ensnaring, there were paybacks in the form of (government) positions. We can see all these positions, they have all been made public: they are high-ranking government positions, government advisors, secretaries of state, etc… Therefore, people who defected receive positions from the prime minister, this is called an exchange that even includes money and positions as well.”
Nevertheless, Mrs. Mu Sochua claimed that this strategy will help push the voters to support the SRP even more.
She noted that Hun Sen’s strategy is aimed at diverting the attention of the Cambodian people from major issues affecting the nation.
Mrs. Mu Sochua said: “The most important factor is that the CPP, and prime minister Hun Sen in particular, they want to focus our attention on those who joined them, they want the SRP and party President Sam Rainsy to forget about the main problems faced by the country: land problems; high gasoline price problem; joblessness, especially among the youth; health problems; corruption problems; deforestation problems; land-grabbing connivance by CPP officials, etc… These are what the CPP, and prime minister Hun Sen in particular, wants us to forget about.”

The SRP need the strategy and educate public, voter, that the ccp is scare of losing the July general election. They know that they can't be won if they don't make the offer to buy the the heads of the SRP traitors. The SRP make sure that the voters understand the ccp don't care about their future of the people and the country, but only themselves and their power.

I tried to get a position as secretary of state through the CPP for a long time but couldn't compete with other rich CPP members , so i joined the SRP for a few years, then I came out lambasting SR as being unfair, guess what, my I am a adviser to the Government on $800 a month and people call me His Excellency and give me much respect.

Sam Rainsy is not openly with the CPP. Then with his move, I start to doubt all he want to do is to annihilate the monarchy. It's bad timing when he proposed to change the constitution with his 50%.Actually, cambodians are so afraid to speak openly, is that democracy of Sam Rainsy? Make the country's side people close their mouth. I think he had reach his goal.
When Sam Rainsy were a finance minister, it's difference, he came from Funcinpec, more prestigeous at that time. Anyway, he won't listen to his ex-colleagues members anyway. Right now, CPP won't give the prestige positions as secretary of state to others than CPP, unless, these guys got moneys to buy it or really special.
Why people still believe that Sam Rainsy can solve any cambodian problems?

The land grabbing issue, the high run away inflation, the right of Cambodian labor, the freedom of speech for Cambodian people, the broken promise, AH HUN SEN government fail policy to protect Cambodian people living along Cambodian borders, the border dispute, the economic, the education, the healthcare, the housing, the poverty, the clean water and the affordable electricity, and the fucken lists go on forever!

don't necessary agree with the argument that ageism has the upper hand. not so true anymore, that's to me is just old-fashion culture. nowadays, it is education that counts more in the real world out there, not whether you were bornt before me or me before you; in other work, using age to justify that one is wiser or more experience is so outdated and behind the time. i hope people in cambodia would stop using this kind of argument to suppress the younger generation. now, it is education that counts more than ever; it is so true in the usa, and other modernized countries, the more education or degree a person has, the more earning and higher up they can go; so that "ageism" argument, although, has more to do with khmer culture and tradition, however, it is not a good argument to tell people in the workplace or political arena. people just don't buy it anymore, miss... thank you. god bless the new cambodia and her beautiful khmer people.
some old school thinking is so outdated, alright. some needs to be replace with more realistic attitude in a "competitive world". i mean although people can learn from the past, however, i think education is more important as the world is so full of ideas and concepts, not to mention technology rules the world, now, no so much philosophy or rhetoric anymore. for example, without modern jet planes, people would not able to get from one place on the planet to the other. please think about technology. and please think diversity as well for there is no such thing anymore as one pattern or one way of doing or getting somewhere; there are many ways to do things. nothing is set in stone anymore, if we all live by the law, then the world wouldn't have so many problems. god bless cambodia.
