Ha Noi, Feb 21 (VNA) - Viet Nam and Cambodia will sign an agreement to help Cambodia manufacture border landmarks during the visit by Prime Minister Phan Van Khai to the Kingdom of Cambodia early next month.

The draft agreement was approved at a three-day meeting ending in Ha Noi on Feb. 19 of the Viet Nam - Cambodia Joint Border Committee, co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Dung, who also serves as head of the Border Committee under the ministry, and Cambodian Senior Minister for Border Affairs Var Kim Hong.

Vietnamese representatives stated at the meeting that Viet Nam was determined to work with Cambodia to finish delimitating and planting border markers by late 2008 as agreed by both sides under the Master Plan signed in Phnom Penh last December.

They also informed the meeting of the establishment of the Government Steering Committee for Border Delimitation and Marker Plantation, the Joint Committee for Border Delimitation and Marker Plantation, and a group of technical experts.

The Cambodian side highly appreciated Viet Nam's efforts, while affirming their country's determination to work with Viet Nam to implement the Master Plan. -Enditem
