"La Phalla" revealed as Prince Ranariddh's companion who is interfering with official nominations

In a highly critical speech of Funcinpec, his government partner, Hun Sen lashed out against a "Chumteav" (the wife of a senior official) who interfered with official nominations. Cambodge Soir, the French-language daily newspaper, reported that: "Some had recognized this "Chumteav" to be no other than the current companion of Prince Ranariddh."

In his hand annotation to the Cambodge Soir article, His Majesty Norodom Sihanouk, the former monarch, revealed the name of Prince Ranariddh's interfering companion to be a lady by the name "La Phalla" (the Phalla) - Ouk Phalla, the woman believed to be the "second wife" of Prince Ranariddh.
