Cambodia's ambassador to the Philippines, Funcinpec member Ok Socheat, has been officially removed from his position and is to be replaced by little-known Foreign Affairs Ministry official In Moy, officials said Monday. Government spokesman Khieu Kanharith confirmed the removal, calling it a routine "job transfer," but would not elaborate. He added that the removal would not affect the February appointment of former Funcinpec lawmaker Nan Sy as ambassador to Brunei Nan Sy said he had not yet left for Brunei because he is waiting to bid King Norodom Sihamoni farewell at the end of his current foreign tour. Ok Socheat could not be reached for comment.
