National Election Committee spokesman Leng Sochea said Thursday that he has resigned from the position he had held since 2003 because he found the job monotonous. Leng Sochea, who stepped down earlier this month, retains his position as deputy secretary-general of the Cambodia Mine Action Authority. "I am fed up... It is always the same work," he said of his work at the NEC. The NEC has not yet appointed a replacement but will do so before next year's commune council elections, NEC Secretary-General Tep Nitha said, adding that Leng Sochea did not let his boredom prevent him from fulfilling his duties.
