Police authority said that 12 prisoners have safely escaped from the Prey Sar jail in the morning of 11 June. Among the escapees is an important prisoner: Hang Vuthy nicknamed Lord of the Death (Yama).
Police officers in the M1 Prey Sar jail who did not want to have his voice recorded, said that 12 prisoners used ropes to jump over the compound jail fence in between the 2nd and 3rd observation decks.
According to the sketchy information obtained, the prisoners used strings from mosquito nets and their covers, they also sawed off two window metal bars.
According to the anonymous prison official, the second floor jail cell was occupied by 17 prisoners, however, only 12 escaped, the remaining 5 were found bound and gagged. Among those who escaped are: Hang Vuthy nickname Lord of the Death who is summoned by the court this upcoming 12 June; some Cham people who had been in jail less than one month, and one prisoner by the name of Ieng Dara.
The jail official said the prisoners had two cleaver knives and two pointed knives. It was not known how the prisoners obtained these knives. It is suspected that they obtained insiders help.
Kuy Bun Sen, jail ward, did not immediately provide any comment until investigation has been performed.
Chan Savet, Adhoc NGO official, who had personally investigated the jail, thinks that the safe escape was planned.
Chan Savet said: “The Prey Sar jail is a modern jail built with the help provided by the Australian government funds, it also has international standards. Prisoners can bring something inside the jail only because jail officials do not thoroughly inspect these items. Furthermore, the escape from jail in this manner, we think that the prisoners had planned in advance, it was not on the spur of the moment because the items in the possession of the prisoners such as cleaver knives, saw, knives, are not allowed in prison.”

Should be one or some people that stand behind Hang Vuthy he worry that Vuthy will answer in the court about who was order him to do. It's not a normal people. We waiting to hear the Kandab day dek of Hun Sen with this problem.
