Thailand, Cambodia agree on border rules

Thailand and Cambodia are scheduled to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Aranyaprathet-Poipet border crossing transportation regulations this September, Thailand's transport minister Pongsak Raktapongpaisal said on Tuesday.

The MOU will be signed by the Thai transport ministry and its Cambodian counterpart in Beijing during the second meeting of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Joint Committee on Border Crossings which is supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The signing is carried out under a GMS agreement on border crossings reached by member countries last year.

Agreements to be signed includes an article which stipulates that a maximum of 40 licences will be issued for new operators of cross-border transport of goods and people via the Aranyaprathet-Poipet checkpoint, while operators already providing the services are exempt from the requirements.

This agreement and related subjects contained in the MOU have been reached by the two countries' agencies in relation to customs, immigration, and transport, Mr. Pongsak said.

The minister said the MOU will facilitate the cross-border movement of goods and people, and thus will boost trade, investment and tourism between the two neighbouring countries, as well as strengthening their bilateral ties.

The GMS, consisting of Cambodia, Lao, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and China's Yunnan province, is home to some 250 million people who share the world's 12th largest river, the Mekong.

Since 1992, the GMS countries have embarked on a programme of economic co-operation called "the GMS Programme". Supported by ADB and other donors, the programme involves the implementation of varied projects in transport, energy, telecommunications, environment, human resource development, tourism, trade, investment and agriculture. - (TNA)

Stupid Cambodian officials and King will agree on anything the Thai have to say! I had seen some of the agreements written by the Thai! It is full of jargon with many fine print and confusing lawyer languages and it is written to confuse Cambodian in English or in Thai and consider the lanugage is not even in Cambodian language! How bad can it get when Cambodian can't even read English or Thai language!

Many of the CASINO along Cambodian border are built for free because the Thai investors refused to pay for their part in the gambling business! Remembered any issues arise from any disagreement, the Thai will force all these stupid Cambodian officials to go to Thai court!Too often the Thai and their fucken lawyers are working together to void all kind of agreements that had been signed with Cambodian officials claiming that Cambodian don't honor the agreement!ahahah (Now you know why HUN SEN like to use his own court to solve many Cambodian issues! because HUN SEN had been learning from Thailand!)

Cambodian officials are not advance enough to understand to sign any agreement with neigboring country! If any of these Cambodian officials insisted on signing any agreements it would be singing a death sentence for Cambodian people!

Like they said the devil is in the detail and there many details in any agreement and stupid Cambodian officials don't even study all the detail and yet they are willing to sign not knowing that they will go to hell for it!

HUN SEN AND HIS GOVERNMENT SERVE Vietnamese and thai interests and kill their people.
They are - murders
- traitors
- collaborators
- brigands
We must declare this kind of government illegal and and expell them from the power by fair means or foul: -take them to the international and criminal court.
-protest against them everywhere, everyday.

DOWN WITH HUN SEN AND HIS GROUSP!
