Norodom versus Sisowath (3)

The internal conflict within the royalist Funcinpec party seems to reflect a historical rivalry between the two branches of Cambodia's Royal Family: the Norodom and the Sisowath. The "old" Funcinpec is led by Norodom Ranariddh, Norodom Vacheara and Norodom Sirivudh, who are all Members of the National Assembly. Among the leaders of the "new" Funcinpec, there are Sisowath Sirirath (former Co-Minister of Defense), Sisowath Santa (National Assembly Member) and Sisowath Chivoan Monirak (Vice-President of the Senate).

Election statistics: too good to be true (2)

While there were only 577,205 first-time voters to be registered, the National Election Committee has already succeeded in registering 898,410 citizens as new voters. The first question that comes to mind is: "How many ghost voters?" More information available here.
