Southern Kien Giang province and Cambodia's Kep city have inked the minutes of their working session on studying a sea-way tourist route between the two localities during a recent visit by the Kep city's authorities.

The route, which will link Kien Giang province with several localities of Cambodia and Thailand, is under a programme of the Vietnam Tourism Administration to develop toward the western sea.

On December 29, the Kep city's delegation exchanged views with Kien Giang province's authorities of their cooperation programme in the coming time.

Kien Giang province agreed to help the Kep city to train agriculture and health care workers, as well as to provide free-of-charge eye surgeries for blind people in Kep.

In the 2000-2006 period, the Kep city and Kien Giang province cooperated closely in searching for Vietnamese voluntary soldiers' remains in Cambodia, and in investigating border crimes. Kien Giang helped the Kep city in developing agricultural production, infrastructure and health care.
