The National Election Committee (NEC) in Ratanakiri province on Monday dismisses the opposition party officials' claim that its local officials received communal candidates from the Cambodian People's party.
The response came after SRP’s representative Liem Duong, in Ratanakiri, charged NEC's communal chief of conspiring with CPP’s officials to receive its party’s list of candidates unofficially.
Some officials from the opposition party say that CPP has yet to submit its communal council candidates to meet the deadline, and yet the National Election Committee announced CPP's completion.
Ratanakiri NEC's chief, Pen Chhundi claims that the ruling party’s list of communal council candidates was submitted on January 03, but denied to elaborate further.
