Khmer Rouge trial to go ahead

PHNOM PENH — Chea Sim, president of Cambodia's ruling Cambodian People's Party, pledged Sunday that the trial of former Khmer Rouge leaders will go ahead as planned.
Chea Sim made the pledge at an event marking the 28th anniversary of the toppling of the Khmer Rouge regime, which is blamed for the deaths of at least 1.7 million Cambodians in the late 1970s. Some 10,000 people attended the event in central Phnom Penh presided over by CPP leaders including Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Of course, with $56m, it will go ahead.
But will it go fast enough to give all the suspects their day in court?

I'm sure it won't be as they are also concerned, more or less.Do you believe that thiefs will judge the thiefs ?
Pls do not forget that Vietnam need the khmer rouge's tragedy to justify their invasion and their stay in Cambodia.So the more this event lasts the more legal they can smoothly grab our country.And this is possible thanks to their dogs in Phnom Penh.
To maintain and strenghten their power, these dogs don't hesitate to use forces and buy corrupted officials, with our poor people's money, by giving them the most important places in offcials rangs !
I don't mind their thirsty of power but they'd better at least defend our smaller and smaller country.
They are not the descendants of Khmer Angkor.They are simply Vietcongs !

If Hunsen and Cheasim are not Khmer rouge do you think this day is comming....
The money will be spent on administrative cost.. paying for land cruisers, Lexus,body guards, dinning, retreats to other country for meetings.. un-neccesary training, and hotel.. and massages. by the time it actually goes to trial. they will run out of money.
That is their excuse.
With $ 56 million dollars....HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAA
Everyone will having a great time with Bon appetite in Cambodia after for a long while ago ,UNTAC's legend were spending with 2 billion dollars for FREE & FAIR ELECTION (?).
The Justice never be served under the Ruling of Hun Sen & its CPP....
