Cambodian judge must learn the word " marriage " which is included a certificate of marriage and a celebration of a wedding. You can do as many wedding as you like, but without a certificate of marriage, this couple is not recognised legally as married. Cambodian law must have the same rule " Likhet etat civil ". Without this certificate in hand, any party of the couple can have another lover without needing to apply for divorce because they are not married.
Princess Marie Eng and Funcenpec have to provide the marriage licence to prove that they both were legally married. The pictures of the wedding ceremony cannot prove that the two were actually married. There're million couples who didn't have the wedding ceremony but they have the marriage licences. The only one thing that Princess Marie can do is to have the affidivits from people who could testify if she actually lived with Princes Rannariddh and their 3 kids for all those years. If she did, then she has the case against Prince Rannaridh; otherwise she gets no case.
What can the wedding pictures do without a marriage licence?

AND HE NEVER BEEN COMFORTABLE WITH HER. HOW YOU GUY KNOW THAT MARIE IS SO GOOD? SHE'S ONE OF THE CORRUPTED PERSON ALSO AND PART OF THE BLAME FOR RANNARIDH'S CORRUPTION TOO! AND SHE WENT OUT WITH THE YOUNG FRENCH MAN AT HER SON INLAW'S AGE TOO! SO Y'ALL SHOULD STAY OUT OF HIS LOVE LIFE EVERYBODY IS ENTITLED TO LOVE THE WOMAN OF THEIR CHOICE! ALL THIS LAWSUIT IS USED FOR THE POLITICAL GAIN OF NEW FUNCIPEC THAT'S ALL AND I THINK WE ALL SHOULD STAY OUT OF THIS AND BEING NEUTRAL!
you all at ranaridth side, i know, if you know that cambodia gave gone through pol pot, who can keep any paper or certificate of whatever to show a court or legal organization???? did you know that proper marriage certificate just came up two years ago???? to declare the wedding, how can people marriage in 70s have their cerfificate??? you think the royal family dressed up ranaridth and Marrie just for fun????? what about their two kid???? from magic ??????? I'm surprise that he call a mothe of his kid is not his wife..... if he doesn't recognize his own blood... how the hell he going to recognize or help Cambodian people??????? he will bring Cambodian people love and happiness??? if he can't even handle a family of 4 people????

I like your comment. I truely think that you are fair. We know they were married and it didn't matter what everybody else said and to demand for a married certificate from 1970 until now when then in 1970, The Royalty family took off just for their lives just to get away from the Lon Nol's government and after that had to go tru the Pol Pot's Regime, many of you must be kidding!.

My comment is bad picture. The two did not look like lover from the very start. They looked at two different directions. Princess Marie was somewhat sad and unsure......., but that was 30 some years ago.
I gave her a gold medal for carrying the torch for him that long. Princess Marie deserves half of everything prince Ranaridth has or owns.
Remember, If King Sihanouk had not been taken up with young Ms. Monique and had stayed in power UNTIL TODAY, Princess Marie MUST knew from the very start, love or no love for Ranaridth, She must knew for sure that THIS YOUNG AND INNOCENT- LOVELESS MS. MARY ENG COULD BE VERY WELL ONE DAY " QUEEN OF CAMBODIA!".
I like Ms. Mary for her in famous ambition!, BECAUSE NOT EVERYBODY CAN AFFORT THE LUXURY OF BEING IN LOVE AND SHE WAS RIGHT.

Many line of succession went tru the first born son and the first born son was Prince Ranaridth.
Princess Marie was taking a pretty big losing chance, for Prince Ranaridth, his mother was not at all married to the old King, but was born out of a two year relationship. This was according to His Majesty's( the old King's ) statement about a month ago on KI.
If Rannaridh did not like Marie why did he stay with her for so long?
He deos love her, but the old lusty head wants more and the old lusty head forgot who he was or who he should be faithful to. Therefore the old lusty head must pay the price and go to jail.
Meaningless to waste our time to talk about this idiot prince. At his position, he used almost 100 percent of his time to play with sex, not care of people and let himself falling into his strongest opponent (political enemy)'s trick. He doesn't take care of himself, why shall we??? reserve our energy to discuss on our people's benefit. I think the national budget wastes too much moeny for these princes for nothing.
No let go back and talk about RANARITH'S lov life again . OUK PHALLA is much younger than Marie.OUK PHALLA was a APSARA dancer. Usually ballet dancer always have a nice and beautiful BUTT.It is her BUTT that i'm talking about.Beautiful BUTT is every man's fantasy, so please stop blaming RANARITH. Ms. Monique, Ms. Mary Eng and Ms. Ouk Phalla did not seem to major in men or those powerful chairs, but their Big Butt Head Husbands and lovers made it easier to study and possible to graduate.
The result, they got those big Butt Head wraped around their fingers. Try and leave baby............that won't happen.
