We must also remember that there are a number of ex-KR officials, whose hands were also stained with the blood of so many innocent Cambodians, in the corridor of power in Cambodia today. The only difference with those surviving ex-KR officials in Pailin is that they are rich and powerful. Needless to say, the killings of defenceless Cambodians still continue under a different disguise.

Saddam was just a small potato compared to what these ex-KR guys have done to their own people. Saddam fell out of favour and into the trap of certain Superpowers. Otherwise, he would still have been President of Iraq today. Even international human rights organisations admitted that his trial was full of flaws and politically-motivated. Nevertheless, a crime against humanity is still a crime.

Some of those KR intellectuals had great ideas about rebuilding the country after the war, and they were also very nationalistic. It's difficult to understand why these intellectuals were killed or imprisoned, and the KR regime was hijacked by arrogant, blood-thirsty morons. We may never be able to find out the whole truth, as the current KR tribunal is still struggling to become an only real and credible platform for seeking justice, truth and reconciliation.

Don't you find that Saddam Hussein recalls the name of a vietnamese dictator installed in Cambodia, who pretends to be a strongman by using armed forces against our empty hands poor people ?
I strongly wish he could receive the same punishment as Saddam ! sothat Cambodia could finally breath the real freedom and democracy.
