Opposition party leader Sam Rainsy tells reporters at a news conference Thursday, that they have found 6 different cases of irregularities in voter and candidate’s registrations.
He then charged the National Election Committee of creating problems in an effort to help the Cambodian People Party (CPP) win the upcoming communal election.
Sam Rainsy claims that NEC has been involved in registering illegitimate Vietnamese voters, who have no legal voting rights.
NEC Secretary General Tep Nitha dismisses these allegations saying that NEC is not politically biased.
In January 2006, the opposition party has filed a complaint against the Provincial Election Committee (PEC) officials, in Ratanakiri province to NEC, for accepting CPP candidate’s registration after the deadline.

Tep Sitha asks in the broadcast a very interesting question: if SRP is certain CPP is going to win [because of the NEC bias], why does it bother to compete?
OOOO
Noope, the NEC is not bias. They've
nail everyone cheated so far,
didn't they?
The SRP always crying and whining
over every little crap during the
election season. It has became
their ritual now. I would just
ignored them.
