Prince Sisowath Sirirath, 2nd Funcinpec vice-president, told the Cambodia Daily that the Siem Reap party’s headquarters was sold to a businessman which he declined to give out the name. Prince Sirirath said the decision to sell the party headquarters was because the party is out of money. Prince Sirirath took this opportunity to give a jab at Prince Ranariddh, the former Funcinpec party president, by saying that Nhiek Bun Chhay, Funcinpec secretary-general, asked the authorization from the party leadership committee to sell the party headquarters, unlike Prince Ranariddh who decided to sell the party’s [Phnom Penh] headquarters by himself only.
