Our 17 April 1975 tragedy has yet again confirmed what the French people's had discovered and affirmed in the preamble of their Declaration of the Rights of Man of 26 August 1789, which fellow Cambodians who had studied in France and returned to rule our country overlooked: "the ignorance, neglect, or contempt of the rights of man are the sole cause of public calamities and of the corruption of governments".
Nowadays, there is also a tendency to even forget what our current rulers had agreed upon when they signed the peace agreements in Paris, France, on 23 october 1991 to end the war in our country: "Cambodia’s tragic recent history requires special measures to assure protection of human rights, and the non-return to the policies and practices of the past."
Let's not forget the souls of our fellow countrymen, victims of " the ignorance, neglect, or contempt of the rights of man". Let's protect human rights. Let our common tragedy unite us. Then our fellow countrymen did not die in vain.

Thank you very much KI for such a very rarely pictures you have collected here to commemorate the April 17, 1975.
I have learned many things from the pages of Khmer history: the revolutionary, the victory, the genocidal, the invasion and the corrupted government...
This is the cycle of life, the curse of Cambodian nation. We passed through tears, blood and injustice...when will it end?
Cambodian people in our modern age would not short-sighted or narraw-minded to look back the past, to concentrate in our present movement and to step foward.
The past is already gone, the present is critical and the future is our hope.
Now our Cambodian future is not yet bright and clear enough. It is muddy, dirty and impunity. The tragedy is changing from a very visible to invisible, from a very bright to a very subtle in mobilizing Cambodian people as well as to legitimize foreign power.
Now we have atrocity of April 17, 1979 and the puppet international court is undergoing politically oriented.
So why not we should submit a proclaim or a suing paper to try Vietnamese invasion who also plundered, implicitly killed and weakened Cambodian nation?
Our future will be brighter if we deal with the present ongoing cobra. The Khmer Rouge cobra has already been dead now!
Wake up all Cambodian compatriots.
17 April 1975, Evacuation of Phnom Penh was the VICTORY of NORODUM SIHANOUSS TA TRASAK PAEM.
The Khmer Rouge cobra has not been dead now.He has been transformed into HUN XEN, dear compatriot!
AGREE 8:15PM!
KNOW THE WRONG PASS WELL SO WE ARE NOT REPEATED IT AGAIN!
IF YOU NOT CLEAN IT GOOD YOU WILL ALWAY DIRTY AND SICK!
These so-called Khmer rouge leaders were the result of their parents have sex with animal and have give birth to these animal like people who have their evils brain !!!!! This a very important lesson to all human being to learn.
Yep, and that is the link that
tied Pol Pot to Westerners. In
the west, they have sex with
anything that move, including car.
You believe that?
In Buddhism and in Chinese proverb, people believed that, a person dare to killed millions of others unless their parents have so much of karma and sins or have committed with awfull acts byon normal people can do. Example. one of their parents must have sexed with animals to produce an animal like offspring such as Nuon Chea, Pol Pot, Khiev Sam Phann, Ieng sary etc... and etc... If they don't believed it, these above animals can ask their mother if it was true or not. This is real fact !!!
