I read and I am rereading news reports from large Western English Press Agencies dated from 1970 to 1975.
When it comes to the Khmer Rouge, these large Press Agencies always wrote “The communist-led Khmer rouge”-> “The Khmer Rouge led by the Communists.”
It is funny and unexplainable because the Khmer Rouge were known by the entire world as being absolutely communist.
“Rouge” is synonymous with “Communist.”
One could have written “The Khmer Rouge (communist).” “The communist Khmer Rouge.”
The expression “Khmer Rouge” led by the Communists begs the question: “led (or ordered) by SOME OTHER COMMUNISTS?”

What I think the terms "Communist-led Khmer Rouge" mean is that the Khmer Rouge is an entity that is not entirely communist, but its actions were largely dictated from behind by the communist. Who are those communists is quite clear, isn't it? I am pretty sure the Chinese had a lot of involvement (funding, arming, training, supporting...etc) in bringing up the Khmer Rouge into the kind of force that it was during that time. Now, I don't know what the term "rouge" means, but my idea is that "Khmer Rouge" is a party/group that was led by China, and acted on behalf of our red brothers. King Sihanouk himself knew how much support the Chinese provide to Khmer Rouge, and how much advice the Chinese had given, and the Khmer Rouge had received and followed to details. Is that not enough to brand them "communist-led Khmer Rouge"?
In this letter, somdech taa tout wants to tell us something that "there are leader's leaders of KR...so who are they?"

THe communist led Khmer Rouge or the Khmer rouge let communist are not known during 1070-1975 war against Cambodian National. What was important is that we cannot change the real history which we must honour the the true history. In reality, either communist or khmer rouge was let by Sihanouk for the onslaught of Cambodian people from 1975-1979. Why Sihanouk is now so chicken and scare to take his responsibility?

What I understand is the communist led by Khmer Rouge and Khmer Rouge led by Sihaknouk.
What i understood was SIHANOUK believe in Communism. Khmer rouge hate Sihanouk but let him join them anyway in order to use him. Sihanouk's historic stupidity led to the KILLING of 1.7 millions khmers including 5 of his children and score of his grandchildren...and khmers people still revere him as god king? FUCK.
