Two of the Cambodian pilots among the other 5 Cambodian airline employees who died during the plane crash, carry the same first name with a slight difference in spelling, and both are captain: the first pilot name is Ut Chan Tara, and the second pilot’s name is Hean Chan Dara. The two men died at the same time on the same flight in an unbelievable coincidence. The remains of the two men are on display at Wat Langka pagoda, and will be cremated today. Among the two, Hean Chan Dara is the nephew of Heng Samrin, president of the National Assembly. Hean Chan Dara is 42-year-old, and was born in Svay Rieng province. In 1982, he went to study in the former Soviet Union to become an airplane mechanics, and in 1996 he learned to fly AN-24-type airplanes. He pursued additional flight training in China in 1997. He is survived by his wife and two children. 46-year-old Ut Chan Tara went to pursue pilot training in the Soviet Union in 1985. He was born in Sa’ang district, Kandal province. He is survived by his wife and 3 children.

definitely a great tragedy for Cambodia. The five people and more important the many other who depend on the tourism who will suffer to this carelessness.
The fact that the pilots related to the high ranking CPP people is in no way suprising. And this maybe the tragic result of corruption--nepotism, cronyism. How do we know that all these relatives of the CPP in high ranking and highly responsible positions are best suited?
In a way it would turn out to be a good thing if the Cambodian people starting to see that corruption is not just an alien concept that doesn't truly affecting them. If they realize that their kids can die from it, then maybe they will start to do something about it.
If the CPP officials who secured these lucrative jobs realized that they had just in fact killed their own nephew or sons, then hopefully they will take more consideration next time.

As a Khmer-American airline pilot, after have personally observed and seen the suffering of the ill-fated flight, I'm perplexedly confounded with the fact that the Cambodian government arbitrarily and ignominiously made this egregious decision and continue to prevaricate the public about the actual cause of the crash, yet allow the PMT airlines continues to continue fly into a pyramid of corruption and ignoring the victims’ friends and families’ right.
Again, I summon the friends and families of 13 Korean victims to galvanize viable legal sources and bring the PMT airlines to justice for those victims who perished in the crash.
What happened to the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) committee? It is my belief that the (Cambodian) government acts as NTSB (and plays as experts and gambles with the lives of passengers).

For Khmer and international tourists, please don't take a fly with Vietnam or Cambodia airlines for your own safety. These airline companies are not up to International Standard, especially the Vietnam airlines.
If HUN SEN was to fly an airplane and he would make this kind of mistake a thousand times!
This is what happening in Cambodian politic and there are massive Cambodian people casualties because his blind sight policy!
HUN SEN why don't you and your clowns step down? I know how much you are afraid of the New York law firm! You want to wait until you are 90 years to go to court?
