A group of people belonging to Prince Chakrapong’s son, who was jailed by the Phnom Penh municipal court for two weeks and who was charged for illegal possession of weapons, has been released after their parents wrote legal vouching letters for them. The Kampuchea Thmei newspaper said that the court issued an order for the release on 13 June, and the actual release took place on 14 June. The group of 9 hoodlums ordered jailed, included Prince Charuchak, the son of Prince Norodom Chakrapong. The court subsequently released 2 youngsters, another youngster was ordered questioned by the criminal police of the Ministry of Interior for involvement with another gang arrested by the Dangkao district police. The remaining 6 youngsters have been ordered released by the current court order.
