Cambodian PM Leaves For Malaysia To Join Merdeka Day Celebration
PHNOM PENH, Aug 30 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Hun Sen left here early Thursday morning for Kuala Lumpur to take part in the Independence Day celebration to be held on Friday, China's Xinhua news agency reported.
Hun Sen led "a high delegation to attend the 50th anniversary of the Independence Day of Malaysia" upon the invitation of the Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The Cambodian PM will return to Phnom Penh on Saturday.
