City welcomes Viet Kieu for Tet
VietNamNet Bridge – The HCM City People’s Committee has assigned the HCM City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs to design programs to welcome Viet Kieu returning to Vietnam for Tet in late January and early February 2008.
Welcoming receptions will be organized at the Tan Son Nhat Airport from January 8 to February 16. The airport’s terminal has the motif of a traditional Tet festival. Volunteers will be posted at the airport to help the overseas Vietnamese when they arrive.
On February 18-19, the HCM City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs and Vietnamese Embassies in Cambodia, the Vietnamese Association in Cambodia and HCM City’s Youth Union will pay visits and present gifts to disadvantaged Vietnamese in Cambodia for the occasion of the lunar new year.
A meeting with overseas Vietnamese will be held on January 29 at 111 Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, District 3; participants will include HCM City’s senior officials and around 600 Viet Kieu.
The Overseas Vietnamese Liaison Association and the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association will organize a meeting with overseas Vietnamese to welcome the Tet festival on January 24 at the Phu Tho Sports Club.

No you ain't and all of you fucken Vietcong youth can stay where you are and you don’t need to show off your patriotism toward your fellow Viet in Cambodia! Don't you ever forget that Cambodian people will never going to close their eye to Khmer Krom people suffering under your Vietcong government oppression!

The sad truth is no Cambodian group or union has ever challenged the Vietnam authority or request the Vietnamese to go into Vietnam and conduct these activities.
Most sad even more is that most Cambodian teens have no idea where Khmer-Krom is.
The only time where a Cambodian official show some care about Khmer-Krom was when MP Son Chay visit Vietnam to ask for release of Tim Sakhorn. He was Khmer, but he had to be Khmer in Cambodia since 70s to get that attention from Cambodian people.
No one really fucken cares about the Khmer-Krom.
If we don't voice and actively work for ourself, the Cambodian/Khmer people don't give a dam!

I know Khmer people come in all shape, side, and color and Khmer Leu, Khmer Krom, and Khmer Kandal! It is not that Khmer Kandal people don't want to help Khmer Krom people but Khmer Kandal people are powerless and dirt poor under AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave dictatorial regime! Please try to understand that Khmer Kandal people are still living under AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave puppet government installed by the Vietcong government since 1979!
The only way for Khmer Kandal people to help the Khmer Krom people with full support is to overthrow AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave puppet government first!
