Selling Cambodian Daughters ... Do you want to buy a wife?

Traffic in Phnom Penh (Photo: P. Virak)

Observation by P. Virak
From Cambodia

Thousands of factory workers, mostly young girls from all over the country, are dying to be picked to become foreigner's 'slave'. They know nothing about life in Korea, Taiwan, Thailand nor anywhere else but Cambodia. If you see where these workers live and work, you would understand why they don't mind to become foreigner's servant. Any place is better than Cambodia for them.

For many of those young ones who live in the countryside, their dream is to become a factory workers. Thousands of students who graduate from HS and Universities cannot find any decent job. Many have found some works as waiter or waitress at Chinese restaurants and Karaoke places... Some girls settle as a second or third wife of the rich and powerful ones.

They can become as an easy target for heartless traffickers... They will do anything for a few dollars or more.

This is the legacy of AH HUN SEN leadership and his Vietcong middlemen to turn Cambodia population into slave just like Pol Pot!

It is such a shame that Cambodia continue to have slave mentality because AH HUN SEN himself inherited the slave mentality imposed the Vietcong master since 1979!

AH HUN SEN is putting Cambodian people life through trial by fire and the fire will be burned AH HUN SEN one day!

hello! it's happening all over the world. just take the philipines for example, they go all over the world for work and more. so what make cambodia an excetpion. people should have the freedom to work, given they do it legally, wherever they want to go work. maybe when they come back home, they can bring in new ideas and money for their poor family. it's not unique to cambodia, people. please keep up with the rest of the world. thank you!
