At the same time, ex-king Sihanouk has said from Beijing that he will donate $US1000 to each dead solders’ family and $US500 to each wounded soldiers’ family.

2. Khmerization's comment: All our dead soldiers are officers. Is it possible that they were executed by the Thais while they went to negotiate with the Thai troops to prevent the armed clash or for the ceasefire? The circumstances of their deaths should be fully investigated and reveal to the public.

If these three soldiers killed were all army chefs, it is so evident that they were executed by the Siamese than killing in clash. These people should not try to private negotiation with these Siamese bandits at all. These Siamese are like animals, not humankind who you can reason it or talk to.

These people die because they defend their land and made proofs of kindness and humanness in front of the evils who have nothing to earn but animosities and killing. This Siamese bandits may possible can take their life or land but not their valor, humanity and kindness

May their souls rest in peace. M deepest condolence to all their families and friends

That idiot Khmerization draws conclusions from his cozy Aussie home that are as far removed from reality as he is. If you want to comment on Cambodian affairs move your butt over here and see things first hand.

Yeah, they are all officers. I wonder too. How is it possible that all the dead soldiers are colonel and captains and no ordinary soldiers get killed? Why colonel and captains got killed instead of ordinary soldiers? Maybe they got executed like Khmerization said, when they went to negotiate with the Thai? I agree with Khmerization that full investigation should be conducted into their deaths. If it is found out that the Thai executed them, we should take the Thai generals to try them in International Criminal Court.

Please be advised that there are an orphan here in this forum don't we oversea adopt them? Captain Lon Deth had 6 childrens they need your love and support as their parents. Captain Lon Deth gone left them parentless. As I stated yesterday my wife and I had a serious conversation concerning an adoption of one or more of the children. I hope the Cambodian government support me and my wife so we could bring them here (US) as soon as possible.

The argument from Khmerization is absoluteely logical and I agree with this argument 100%. In the real war no normally soldiers go to deal with the fues but only the leader of troup, so we mus investigate in this case. During the clash we had lose 3 soldiers and 3 injures and the world that exactly but what is up by Thai side? They are always hidding real news! RFA repoerted that 6 Tai soldiers were killed and 13 injured. By now Thai said only 1 die and 7 injures why they don´t say the truth to the world when thai have are a good people better Khmer?

The idiot 6:29 PM should read clearly before accusing Khmerization of drawing a conclusion or maybe he can't read English. anyone who read Khmerization's comments in this article knows he didn't draw any conclusion. He just ask a question. Are you a Khmer with a Thai head (kbal siem, kloun khmer)? are you a Khmer who support Thai invasion of Cambodian territories?

Come on 7:15PM don't blame anybody for just they don't understand English. For me I do not surprise to see high rang officiers in Tea Banh Army got kill brcause they don't have enough troops in the battle field.Troops are working in the second job in able to survive such as moto dup or contruction jobs. They used colonel as a driver for General.Sometime you can see 2 army Generals ride a motocycle. The young helicopters pilot for Mr PM are General with 2 Stars. So if you know inside story of Khmer Army, you will know how much corrupted in this department.

I have to disagree with Khmerization's comment, the question will mislead people. You live in Cambodia, but if you live in America, you will know how a question can mislead some very naive people. Question like "who is barrack obama?" associates him with terrorist.. I'm just saying, your question...makes an unnecessarily conclusion that these soldiers were brutally killed on the spot and leaves no room for accidents from misunderstanding.

Very dangerous.

Stop trying to steal the temple from Khmer People on the mountain!

Here's the fact: In Cambodia, anybody can be a general or captain. Given the money or the years they've been in the army(even though they haven't gone to battle for a long time), they will be moved up automatically. 8:21pm is right.

I do not surprise either. If you go to a Cambodian military base and ask for some privates, you may find only a few or none. Most of Khmer solidiers start from SAK MOUY, SAK PI, SAK BEY....up to PHKAY(general). You may find privates only in the ghost list.

I met a soldier in Battambang whose wore flip flop with his uniform. He is SAK PI. His wife sells fruit on the street. So when it comes to war, those officers have to be in the front line instead of privates.

Another thing some khmer officers like to fight in the front line (brave or take risk). If they win the war and alive, their range will jump up fast.

But Khmerization's comment is also possible.

True, there are almost more generals than ordinary soldiers in the Khmer army. I believe that Khmerization's rationale is also possible.

To 6:46 PM, you and your wife are doing a great job here. If you can adopt one of the dead soldiers' children, it look like you have saved not only one soul, but the entire family because the one you adopted, when grow to adult will help to feed his/her family with his/her well paid job in America. You have a great idea and a good heart, dude.

6:10AM, You are such a good motivator and I applause you for that. Sometime, if you cannot do it youself and you support others who do the right thing, you also be apart of the process and you will be blessed for that.
