King-Father ridicules a band of Thai oddballs

Translated from French by Tola Ek
Dramatic and Funny Story

By N. Sihanouk
(Beijing, PRC, 12 October 2008)

After crazily pretending that our truly Khmer temples of Preah Vihear, Ta Moan, Ta Krabey, which are located well within the border of the Kingdom of Cambodia, “belonged to Thailand” –sic!– and after they were being chased out from our sacred Prasats [temples] by the heroic officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of Samdech Akka Decho Hun Sen’s RCAF, a band of Thai oddballs has nothing better to do than returning to Bangkok – the pretty and prestigious capital of their country – where they (this band of Thai oddballs) had the pretention of “teaching about true Democracy” –sic!–. Now, this so-called “true Democracy” consisted of turning peace and concord into a “a small civil war” where a few people died and several hundreds of people were injured (seriously and less seriously), of trying to cause the fall of the legal Prime Minister and chasing away the MPs (elected by the People) out of the Parliament, and granting themselves dictatorial “power”!!! All TV channels in the world (TV5 Monde, CNN, etc…) provided “live” coverage [of these actions]! Bravo to the legal Thai order forces which, currently, succeeded in re-establishing order in Bangkok!

Yes, I agree with the assessmnet of Samdech Sihanouk. The political situation in Thailand is out of control. A group of Thai people who calls themselves People Alliance for Democracy (PAD)is nothing but a gangster group who lost the last election and now wants a dictatorial power for themselves.

Since March of this year the PAD had created trouble at Preah Vihear and Ta Moen borders. With the PAD interference the Thai and Cambodian governments will have a hard time to come to any agreememnt on anything including the last 1907 France- Siam border treaty which was upheld by the world court in the 1962 Preah Vihear case. The PAD prevents the elected Thai government from functioning and negociating in good faith with Cambodia.

At the presence the elected Thai government is powerless, impotent and isolated, since Queen Sirikit herself is also supporting this gangster PAD. This is a dangerous time for the two countries, since it could lead to a war nobody wants.

He is going against Thailand, especially Thai king. He is assaulting Thai king too by making this statement at this particular time.

He is also adding fuel to a burning fire.

SAMDECH DECHO HUN SEN,

THIS TIME, THE MOST IMPORTANT TIME, KHMERS SHOULD FISH IN THAILAND'S TROUBLED WATER AS THAIS HAVE DONE SUCH SAME THING TO CAMBODIA FOR MANY YEARS.

DECHO HUN SEN SHOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAI POLITICAL CRISIS:

- TO BOOST CAMBODIA'S ECONOMY, TOURISM AND TO TELL THE WORLD MORE ABOUT KHMERS.

- POLITICALLY, HELP KHMER-THAIS TO STRUGGLE AGAINST THE THAI CENTRAL GOVERNMENT TO DECLARE THE RESTABLISHMENT OF AN AUTONOMOUS STATE IN THE PROVINCES THE SIAMS STOLE FROM CAMBODIA.

- ASK YOUR FRIEND BURMA TO PROVOKE BORDER CONFLICT WITH THE THAIS.

- ASK YOUR MUSLIM FRIENDS IN THAILAND TO CLAIM INDEPENDENCE FROM THE THAIS.

- ASK YOUR LAOS LONG-STANDING FRIENDS TO CLAIM BACK THEIR TERRITORY STOLEN BY THE THAI.

THIS IS THE TACTICS IN CATCHING FISH IN TROUBLED WATER.

STREET CAFE ADVISOR.

Sihanouk can only fool stupid people. What happens in Thailand is a reminder of decho Hun Sen who grasped power from his son Ranaridh, after his lost the election 1993.

couldn't agree more with His Majesty. it's absurd because these oddballs claimed that they did it in the name of democracy!! they still don't know when to stop, though! how sick of them? even cambodia knows democracy and knows when to stop, unlike those pad thugs!!!

No one on the mountain complaining about Thai. They love Thai. They have been partner for centuries.
