‘Same Positions’ at Temple Following Talks [-The useless talk?]

Soldiers had not moved from their positions near Preah Vihear temple Friday, two days after tentative agreements by Thai and Cambodian officials to withdraw troops from a disputed pagoda on the border.

Cambodian Foreign Minister Hor Namhong and his counterpart, Sompong Amornvivat agreed in Siem Reap Wednesdday to withdraw soldiers from Keo Sikha Kiri Svara pagoda and from positions surrounding it.

However, Maj. Gen. Srey Doeuk, commander of Intervention Division 12, based in Preah Vihear, said that following the meetings in Siem Reap, Thai soldiers remain in and around the pagoda.

"It seems like the Thai forces have kept the same positions before and after the meeting," he said.

Cambodian forces "did not have an order yet from the higher-ups" to withdraw, he said.

Var Kimhong, chairman of Cambodia's national border committee, could not confirm whether soldiers would be withdrawn.

"We haven't set a specific date when to withdraw," he said.

Council of Ministers spokesman Phay Siphan said Friday that following Wednesday's meeting, Thailand should send documentation to its parliament, in order to adopt the agreements.

Preah Vihear temple and the nearby pagoda remain at the heart of a months-long border dispute that has led to at least two armed clashes and the deaths of at least four soldiers.

Be clear and precise when dealing with the iffy Thais. No consideration is needed...

what a useless talk?

Why Hun Xen's government still wastes time talking to this siamese because what this siamese wants, is very clear. They want to illegally grab Khmer land.

Hun Xen should appeal to international community for legal assistance or otherwise what HUN XEN is negotiating is not to defend Khmer land but to bargain for a better of his own hidden benefits from the issue.

Just a political game between Thaksin gangsters and Hun Sen gangsters, don't you get it?
Here the message for you Mr.prime minister, Khmer people are getting smarter and smarter every day now, and soon or later we'll catch up with your political game and you and your gang will end up like the Romania in the 80th " Mr. Chauchescu and his wife died like the animals"

Hun Sen and Khmers needed time to enjoy the tradditional boat racing first. Thais can't get the land if the government does not stupidily sign any deal. So, now it's time to prove his leadership or don't make me mad!

In our dream! Look like the Khmer land whose ocupied by black dog-Siam will be gone, Khmer will never get it back if Mr. Hun Sen still do this way(try to bilaterally talk) untill Siam take all our land for ever. I think Hun Sen is not a strongman like what the world called him at all, he is using the words WIN-WIN it means our land must be 50 % for Khmer 50% for Siam.

Yes, he's very clever, no war no trouble with our neighbours just let them WIN and we WIN too, what da hell is he doing?

It's time for him to step down if he cut this land to Siam, he gave a big island(Koh Trol) to Vietnam last time to be the big boss all over Khmer people, Khmer never forget this, but now we must not let him give the land or temples to Siam at all, we all Khmer must protect, and Mr. Hun Sen if you are a real Khmer too you must start take the case to ICJ now.

Your right hand man Hok Lundy which he is 100percent Vietnames blood is dead, you've got one bullet out from your head. And you must try to get rid of another 100 or 1000 or 10,000 secret Viet agences in Cambodia so you can build up your country better.

Just give you some ideas.
