Don't you under estimated Gen. Tea Banh, He's one of best Gen. trainned in Hanoi. He received Doctoral degree on Military science, from Hanoi University.
"My Army Stars are out-numbered in the sky" means there are more stars in the night sky than on the uniforms of Gen. Tea Banh’s (my direct superior) army generals. That goes without saying. The English proficiency of KI readers are so broken that any criticism on PM Hun Sen government here cannot be taken seriously. We simply do not know what message, whether through writing or satiristic cartoon, they try to communicate with the limited knowledge of English language. I always wonder what these people (KI readers do to make a living in the West to qualify themselves as critic of the Cambodian government.
Wow, they are really bright up the universe. Instead there are too many stars it got dark over the horizon of Cambodia.

These star-generals are being promoted to evict at Dey Kraham residents. New duties, new jobs have to accomplish by threating Khmer innocents which is worse than Khmer Rouge time. You watch a 3-days delay. this 3-days delay equals to the rights of residency of Dey Kraham is nothing.
Where is the freedome Khmer Govt provide to the innocent people? $20,000 buy out from the forieger business, where is justice of the ownership? These star generals have to work out on this project.
Hun Sen's Era, Pot Pot's Era are all the killing, obpression, Khmer people have never been relaxed easily.

why the hell does cambodia need so many stupid ass generals????
pretty soon, there are going to be 10 generals per soldier. ten generals commanding one soldier. makes me wanna laugh. hun sen and these stupid uneducated peasant-generals makes the cambodian military look like a parade of clowns. these high ranking cambodian military officers and the high ranking politicians are some of the stupidest cambodians to bron into the cambodian race. no wonder cambodia is such a fucked up country.
The article said 70 officers are promoted to 1-gold star generals. This is Hun Sen's game of buying these generals to protect himself, and it is a dictator's strategy to hold on to power. Let's how much longer he can hang on to it?

U.S. vs Cambodia
United States army general:
-graduates from high school
-Commissioned as a 2nd Lt upon graduation from a national military academy (i.e. West Point)and earns bachelors degree in their field of study. studied military history, international relations and politics as well as their field of study
-earns graduate degree at 4-year institution.
-strong infantry and airborne training. developed strong leadership skills.
-serves many years through the ranks
-have strong capabilities in military science
-distinguish themselves through valor, performance of conduct, duty, sacrifice and years of service
-seek out an assignment to a military specialty in a combat arm or in an area where there are rapid promotions.
-experience in war time
-advanced schooling through the Command and General Staff College and similar military institutions
-20 years or more in their quest to attain the status of general
Cambodian army general:
-little or no military training and if any, it's from one in Vietnam
-be friends of the CPP
-you learn to abuse your rank when it comes to illegal business ventures and forest logging
-uneducated
-learn how to siphon international aid money and be prepared to never pay stipends to soldiers
-learn how to play dress up and act cute in their uniforms and meaningless medals, stars, etc.
-smoke and do nothing all day
-don't have to learn any military science or history or anything because once war starts, they'll pocket their money and run away and leave everything else for the poor soldiers
-once and a while go to Svay Pak and have sex with under aged girls
-your stars get rewarded to you so fast and without any merit because it's like tossing bread crumbs to the crows
-doesn't give a shit about defending the homeland, a sense of duty, earning rank through service and performance
-corrupt as hell
-de-values the integrity of the rank of "general"
-BASICALLY IF YOU ARE A CAMBODIAN GENERAL, YOU ARE A MEANINGLESS AND WORTHLESS PILE OF DUNG.

the rank of general is given out so much, not because these military officers meet the qualifications or have earned it through valor, duty, and service...
it is because ah hun sen wants these uneducated and brainless zombies to think that they are worth something and special in their own self-delusion. in reality, they aren't worth anything and ah hun sen doesn't give a shit about them. the status is given to make these idiots only for the purpose of loyalty to the CPP and brainwashing. nothing else. just worthless generals, like how ah hun sen's diplomas are.
remember, it's easier to control someone when you let them think they have power.
The reason why Hun Sen promoted his colonels to generals is very shallow to be seen; it is because he wants his troops to look much better than the Thais' if he send them to fight against the Thais next time.

Well, you may be in for a surprise: I am an engineer with a US PhD (not from one of those where you get through mail-order), and I am a critic of the Hun Sen regime. I read KI-Media to keep myself update, and most of all, I enjoy reading all the comments from all my compatriots, whether they are in broken English, Khmer, Khmerglish, French, graphics and what not. What attract me most is to be able to see them expressing their opinion freely without having to wonder who is breathing in their neck. Having grown up under the Sihanouk regime, where even young kids in grade school must be careful on what they are talking about, I really appreciate that my compatriots do not have to live under this police regime anymore, at least on the Internet. Therefore, as long as people can freely express their opinions, I am fully grateful for that, for it is through various and diverse opinions that our Khmer society and community will move forward. What I don't want to see is a communist-like regime where everybody must think in a cookie-cutter fashion. So please, stop patronizing people, let them express their mind freely. I am really grateful to Lok Sacrava, even with his broken English, he brought more truth with his cartoons than the Hun Sen regime can bear to see. Let my people speak their mind! Education background does not matter in politics, if you don't believe me, just look at Sihanouk and Hun Sen as examples, the former barely finished high school, the latter did not even complete elementary school.

I understand that he is not cpp. That's why they are not promoted him. How come the cousin of You Hockry, whom is only 44 years old and now 3 stars already. What did this guy has done? His name is Thav Kim Hour... Thav Kim Hour now is a member of CPP.
So what peoples shout out loud was right, only with corruptions and briberies, we can get promotions.

Some peoples use litterature, others use engineering languages, others use cow-boy texan languages, others use quebec english languages, others use africans english,,OTHERS USE ASIAN ENGLISH...
Even some teachers I know whom speak pretty well english in Canada still need translator/interpretor in Malay.
My points are the more we read and listen to others peoples, we will have the ability to understand others peoples much more easily.

As for 1:22, where do I start? Your writing is not bad, but I think you lack the the knowledge of reality. You must of lived in a perfect world. From your posting, it seems to me that perhaps too much schooling and not enough human interactions can affect how you perceived things as well as your thought process. Although, most of us weren't born in the land of opportunity like you, but humanly enough to decipher the "broken" English and able to understand and interact with one another. The aforementioned must be difficult task for you.
Last, I suggest you discontinued getting your intel from KI Media and read The Wall Street Journal. Beside, why bother reading if you can't understand it?
