remember, too, that all of the mention issues above is not newly created, it was pershaps left over from the previous society or regime of cambodia. and it is easy to blame mr. hun sen and his administration about all of that! when in reality, these issues are a legacy of previous society going back even before the KR era, because people did not have the same opportunity for education, freedom etc... then like they do have today, in some degree! back then only a handful of influential people, or elitists types of people get to travel abroad, or get to go to university, etc... compared to nowadays of khmer society, many things had changed for the better, in a way thanks to the KR revolutionary program, although, they (the KR) were too extreme or radical to understand that you don't kill your own people and turn you own country to the stone age or the dark age, etc... otherwise, i think the KR regime would have been different if it weren't for ignorance and blinded by their fascism, fanatical idea that failed due to their extreme injustice and brutal policy. but that was another issue altogether. god bless cambodia.
