Mr. Son Chhay had sent a letter to Mr. Heng Samrin asking the parliament to summon Mr. Son An to explain to parliament after news that the Apsara Authority had ordered the installations of lights bulbs on the walls onf Angkor Wat which some said were installed by drilling the holes throught the temple walls.

Mr. Son Chhay wants Mr. Sok An to also explain about the revenues collected from the sales of tickets to visit Angkor Wat which were manged by the Sokha Groups of Companies belonging to Oknha Sok Kong. He said that revenues collected by the Sokha Groups have not been properly accounted for and that the repair works to the temple, agreed in the contract, had not been performed by the Sokha Groups.

i think drilling any hole on the temple wall is never good. they should use some kind of adhesive equipment instead to install those lights permanently so to attract tourists to go out at night; plus a growing city like siem reap needs to light up all its parks and streets, homes, etc....

Mr. PM, Mr. Parliamentary Leader, these lights do not belong on Angkor Wat's precious walls or ceilings.

10:37am, good suggestion. They should use adhesives to attach lights to the temple walls, but I think the Khmer electricians are not smart enough to do that. To drill the holes are really criminal because the damages are irreversible.

PM Hun Sen to take care Sok An, ASAP!

In order to install the light to this position we must unavoidable to drill into the Wall stone but very small diameter (max. 3-4 Ich). What I see in this picture with d= 40 Ich) for a small ight is the case of destroy the Wall of Angkor Wat and they use a primitiv method only. I supposed they din´ drill into stone but knocking quite the contrary.

Plase all Khmer must to take car about this.
Someone who take chrage this act must be charged !

Indeed no country in the world to allow visitors to visit their sacred temple such as Angkor wat at night time at all. People may use the place for sexuality activities at night and all their used condoms will be every where very soon. I suggest that they should use high power light from outside to keep security at night to make sure noone is inside the building at night. They must have a strick entry to the temple to make sure that each people has respect to this artifice of our ancestors. Areak Prey

To all Khmers,

first thank to cameraman who took this picture.
I don´ think MR HUN SEN knew about this, please inform him with this picture.

As Engineer I am shocked after viewing this picture. The technician or engineer who engaged with such installetion of light are dumb stupid those command no hightech, such method they can use for their holiday homes or on the street, but not in the building, esp. the historic Wall like this.
Here they can` t use the method of "learning by doing" but "theory then doing".

The fake installation included:
1. drilling,
2. electric cable laying,
3. lamp color
4. maybe the distance between the stone and lamp
(because of impact of warm).

Very sad to see many large holes being drilled or dug to install the light. Angkor Wat is precious, the damages are irreversible but why did our leaders allow such thing to happen?

Angkor Wat is iconic, it should be looked after very well, not destroy it in such a way.

Vietnam benefits too much money from Cambodia ancient temple of Angkor Wat and leaves the rightful owner with so little or nothing.

What do you all expect from ah Viet slave Hun Sen huh?

When will Khmer wake up and realize that Khmer is already YUON?

Damn stupid Khmer people...Wake up!

If they don't wake up, and why don't you wake up 8;51pm?
You live at outside should use fight hard to becoming rich and take over the job from Viet Sok Kong, then you can do whatever you want. Cursing the innocence and weak people who live under the dictators will do you no good.
If you think they should wake up, then all the people in the world like Burmese, N. Korean would have done that already. They cannot because the guns will produce the killing fields.

AH HUN SEN clans denied that they make a hole in the temple stone to install the light. But this is clearly a manmade hole in the stone wall...

Oh well! AH HUN SEN clans had been lying and believing in their own lies for so long now it has become a tradition to keep on lying!

The picture shows clearly that the holes are freshly drilled or dug. They are not old holes. Sok An lied. Now there are reports that the lights are ordered to be taken off the walls. This is because they did something wrong- they did dig and drill those holes.

The poor and awful installation of these unsightly light bulbs was a GROSS VIOLATION of aesthetic and preservation rules of any national or international standards. Angkor Wat is NOT a beer garden or brothel!!!! Angkor Wat does not need any artificial light to attract people. Someone should be seriously held responsible for this violation. It is incomprhensible to hear that a world class organization such as UNESCO has approved of such a blatant disregard of a precious and priceless heritage!

That's just a start. If we don't attracted tourists with our lighting, I will give order to installed disco light and a strip bar in Angkor Wat next.

Resulting from neurological damages, Mr. 6:34 p.m., you need a more detailed neurological evaluation and examination to ascertain any neurological abnormality, thus to forestall any hindrance of our important discussion.
