On Thursday, SRP MP Mu Sochua claimed that she will not flee even if there is a request to lift her immunity in connection of the defamation lawsuit brought up by Hun Xen against her. The Deum Ampil newspaper quoted Mu Sochua as saying that she is not concerned about Hun Xen’s defamation lawsuit, even if her lawsuit was rejected by the [CPP-controlled] court on Wednesday. She added that she will not leave Cambodia even after learning that there is request to lift her immunity. Deum Ampil reported also that CPP MP Cheam Yiep said that the National Assembly did not yet receive the request letter to suspend Mrs. Mu Sochua’s immunity as of Thursday.
