Cambodia PM increases tirade [-The heat is unbearable for Hun Xen?]

PHNOM PENH - CAMBODIA'S prime minister accused foreign judges and prosecutors at the UN-backed Khmer Rouge tribunal of seeking to arrest new suspects as part of a plot by foreign governments to incite unrest.

Hun Sen's accusation was the latest in a series he has launched against the tribunal and its ruling last week to allow foreign prosecutors to pursue more suspects.

On Monday, Hun Sen said such action could lead to civil war. He has repeatedly spoken out against expanding the list of defendants beyond the one currently on trial - Kaing Guek Eav, also known as Duch, - and four others in custody.

He elaborated Wednesday, saying foreign governments want war in Cambodia, a former French colony that was later wracked by decades of civil war.

'I know that some foreign judges and prosecutors have received orders from their governments to create problems here,' Hun Sen said while inaugurating a Buddhist pagoda south of the capital. 'There is no doubt that they have received advice from their government to do so.'

Hun Sen did not name specific countries. The tribunal includes 12 foreign judges and two foreign prosecutors from countries including Australia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Zambia.

'What Cambodia needs is peace,' Hun Sen added. 'If Cambodia has peace, they (foreign governments) are not quite happy with us - but if Cambodia has war, they are happy because then we'll be easy to occupy.' A tribunal spokesman, Lars Olsen, said Hun Sen's comments were being verified before a comment could be issued.

Critics accuse Hun Sen of trying to limit the tribunal's scope to prevent his political allies from being indicted. Hun Sen once served as a Khmer Rouge officer and many of his main allies are also former members of the group.

On Tuesday, the tribunal's acting international co-prosecutor, William Smith of Australia, formally recommended that five more suspects be investigated for possible crimes against humanity and other offenses.

The tribunal's Cambodian co-prosecutor opposed further indictments, but the tribunal ruled last week that his international counterpart could seek them. The tribunal, created last year under an agreement reached in 2003 between Cambodia and the United Nations, employs joint teams of Cambodian and international court personnel.

Don't threaten Cambodian people of renewing war. They don't want it. And what war? War with who? There is nobody to cause the war. Only you that 100% control the country.

Don't talk like a 1st grade pupil. Those foreigners judge or government doesn't want you word. You can't cause war. Because nobody make war with you.

Justice must prevail!!!!

Actually, there are more big killers to be brought to justice. Hun Sen is a clean man. Why the hell he seems worry about the UN's work. Why doesn't him just leave them alone, so they can fullfil their duty? What's wrong with you, mr blind?

Hun Sen thinks that foreign governments do the same thing as he is doing by ordering judges and prosecutors to do everything as governments want. May be this is the mistakes, he openly thinks.
After threatening about civil war, now accusing foreign governments ordering UN judges and prosecutors. Wait and see, what's next?

Logically and evidently speaking, based on Samdech Hun SenVarman's Phds moral assumption and prejudice he will always be insanely declared the civil war whenever he won't ultimately have much confidence in winning. Does he patriotically or nationally care about the people of Khmer and nation or his continuosly stable power, wealth, and job?

Put in plain words:
He can prevent and create a war, if he chooses which one.

3000-4000 bodyguards plus unaccount of loyal troops are enough to make people sleepless at their towns and villages.

For over three years the people of Cambodia suffered and millions dead under the khmer rough regime, the UNITED NATION knew what was going on inside Cambodia from the beginning, but they did not do anything to save Cambodians, and after the khmer rough was ousted the UNITED NATION left the UN seat for the Khmer rough and recognized the KHER ROUGH as THE LEGITIMATE GOVERNMENT of CAMBODIA. So the UNITED NATION is THE ONE that should be on trial for genocide of Cambodians, since they let the killing going on for over three years and recognized the khmer rough as legitimate government. And now Cambodia is in peace and the UNITED NATION try to destabilize Cambodia. The United Nation should realized their falses and leave Cambodia alone.

You guy should salute January 7, 1979, some of you left the country to abroad and tend to ever think of January 7, 1979 the day that we, Cambodian People Party save your lives. You don’t understand, you make the country worse by accusing Samdech Daychu Hun Sen as Khmer Rouge. Yes! He was a former Khmer Rouge like me; however he was a good soldier. He went to Vietnam asked for help save your lives from some brutal Khmer Rouge regime. You shouldn’t blame all Khmer Rouges are bad. Concerning the Khmer Rouge case, I don‘t understand why these foreigners still want to have more trail with other Khmer Rouge. Hey… I do not like foreigner who came to my country and start bossing around, I do not like foreigner who came to my country not to save beside creating problems…problems. I hate foreigners.

almost every one knew that the primarily goal of VN came to cambodia not to rescue Cambodians from Pol Pot. If Pol Pot continued to kill Cambodians while he was staying away from sending troops to attacks VN's villages along the border, VN would do nothing. And Hun Sen and Heng Samrin would have been staying in VN currently as refugees. I and the rest were dead.

Did VN have any real intention to liberate Cambodians from Pol Pot based on humanitarian purpose?
Any way, VN came to Cambodia was on the right time and the right place. And became Cambodian saviour. Cambodians wre looking anyone but none. some credits were given to VN although VN's real intention was not to liberate Cambodians from Pol Pot.

Khmer saying that you hit two birds with one stone.

VN is looking ot expand her sphere of influence after all and she got her wish today.

maybe the prime minister is just expressing his personal opinion like everyone else. after all, isn't this what democracy and freedom is all about, really. prime minister is human, too, you know. take it like a real man. it's called debate, isn't it? nobody is putting a gun on your head to force you to do something you don't want to do, you know! think about it!

AngkorianMan Krama Man and CPP Supporters:

Dear Hanoi agents,

Do you think the USA, western countries, and UN let your boss, Hun Xen, create civil war in Cambodia? What do you think he is a mighty man?

Answer: The international community won't let him do whatever he wants. They will take him out in 10 seconds. Just send a missile into his Toul Krosaing compound; he will be sent to hell.

He won't have a jungle to hide because he cut down all the trees in the forest. So it's easier for satellite to track him down along with the drone.

It's better all the CPP supporters shut your mouth up. When the regime changed, all of you will be a dead meat. History will repeat itself. If you hurt someone, your day will come. So it's better to do a good deed for Cambodia people before we perish you into the hell.

China and Viet Cong will be next in KRT along with their supporters, Hun Xen, Chea Xim, Heng Xam Rin, Xok An, Xor Kheng, Neam Neil, Ah Samdech Sangs Chkout Chrouk.

Lightning strikes Ah Kbot Cheat Hun Xen, his families, and all his cronies.

when hun sen talks about war breaking out , war between whom ? his private army against those International judges ? those judges have been appointed by the UN and they are here to render a judgement on those former khmer rouge , they are not here to fight . or between khmer and khmer ? why should khmer fight each other just to protect those former khmer rouge ? if i can ask hun sen one question i will ask , what war are you talking about mr hun sen ?

Anonymous said...

What Hun Sen meant was , if those international judges summon him to court , he won't show up and if they try to arrest him he will use his private army to fight back , if he can't win he will ask his friend viet to help . he won't show up in court because he knows that he ia a crminal .

Folks do not be fooled by this cheap attempt by mr hunsen to divert attention from the real issue. THE REAL ISSUE THAT THE UN IS AFTER IS NOT DEMOCRACY, NOT A NEW CIVIL WAR, AND NOT CORRUPTION.
WHEN COPS CHASE DOWN A CRIMINAL, THEY DON'T CARE IF THE CRIMINAL BELIEVES IN DEMOCRACY OR NOT; THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE. THE ISSUE IS THE COPS HAVE TO ARREST THE CRIMINAL.

BY THE SAME TOKEN, THE UN WILL ARREST MORE FORMER KHMER ROUGE CADRES BECAUSE IT'S BELIEVED THAT THEY COMMIT CRIMES IN THE PAST. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHETHER THEY ARE NO LONGER KHMER ROUGE AT THE PRESENT TIME. THEY WILL BE BROUGHT TO TRIAL AT THE KR TRIBUNAL. WHAT MR. HUN SEN IS DOING IS MANIPULATING THE ISSUE AND INTERFERRING WITH THE UN. THE UN NEEDS TO FIND JUSTICE TO THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES DURING THE KR ERA.

Hun Sen incites ghosts

The Phnom Penh Post
Thursday, 10 September 2009 15:02 Vong Sokheng

PRIME Minister Hun Sen launched an attack against his political opponents Wednesday, saying "ghosts" out for the Pchum Ben festival would come to threaten their lives.

"The ghost are around them and will take them along." Hun Sen told a few hundred supporters during the inauguration of a pagoda in the Kirivong district of Takeo province.

"[The opposition leaders] want to be the prime minister, but they have never had an opportunity, and it will be impossible," Hun Sen said. "They have had no ability to work, but they are accusing us of corruption."

Yim Sovann, spokeman for the Sam Rainsy Party, said the prime minister's remarks were part of a "political campaign" aimed at strengthening his power. Human Rights Party President Kem Sokha told the Post that he wasn't interested in reacting to the speech.
