More than 300 medical students from three universities gathered for a second day of peaceful protests Friday, claiming the medical school had prevented too many advancements among them.
The students came from the schools of dentistry, pharmacology and medicine, and some claimed they had been prevented from seeing recent exam scores.
“I want to know my score, how much I got,” said Sam Sokheng, a pharmacology student. “In the exam, there were leaked exam papers, to make luck for the rich students and nepotistic students.”
Another student, who asked not to be named, said they had been promised 700 students would advance, but only 500 made the cut-off.
School officials could not be reached for comment.
Rong Chhun, president of the Cambodian Teachers Association, said the school should re-issue exams to avoid accusations of fraud from students.

In a country where are are too many PhDs and too many three-star generals to be counted, things will always go messy like that, as one quote said, "If everyone owns everything, noboby will take care of anything." Knea chroeun ansom khloch knea dauch sro moch ansom chhao.
These rich powerful people don't understand what greated Khmer Roughe in the first place. Eventually, nature will balance itself out, 1.7 million is a very good example of it.

If one cheat on exam, he or she will be a dumb person at work. In real life or practical work, you won't be last long. People who knows their subject can answer in the job interview. When you cheat on exam, go to apply the job. The good interviewer will drill you your subject. Then, you realize how stupid you are; plus you can't advance to higher education.
So don't cheat in school.
Study hard to make success.
Don't bribe people to get your degree.
If you do, you won't get respect from your peers.

The reason that Khmer Roughe was created because too much gaped between the rich and the poor; therefore the death of 1.7 million is a way of nature to brings it back to normal. Yes, it is deliberaly act by human, but it is the law of nature.

Some of these problems exist in every country.
Not every problem in Cambodia is unique to Cambodia.
The education system is terrible (and corrupt) in many countries, all over the world.
There are other examples in Asia --and I have experience with similar situations even in wealthy "Western" countries.
To speak from experience: Universities in England and Canada are corrupt, too.
To be honest with you: the situation in Cambodia is better than the situation in England or Canada. Why? Because the students in Cambodia still have some spirit.
Honestly, does anyone at Cambridge or Oxford protest against corruption? There is corruption, but no demonstrations against it (not 300, and not 3000).
Every country has problems; these problems are worth struggling with and are worth solving. These students are asking for help, and they deserve help.
However, it is not bad news that they are protesting. It is good news that they have the spirit to protest, and that it is possible to protest (in some other countries in Asia, there is no such freedom for University students...).

You wasted your time going to school. What school were you going too. I guess your teacher perhaps had a dubious PhD like ah Hun Sen have, that why you get confused with an act of a man as an act of nature. Earthquake disasters, flood disaters are called natural disasters, ah Lngeu. Go back to elementary school, will ya?
And let me explain you a little bit more about the differences between an "act of a man" and a "human act":
An act of a man is the act that a man delireratly thikns before he carries out that act.
A human act is the act that man does as usual, like eating, sleeping, walking, choy. . . ing, etc.
maybe students don't understand quota. in any school all over the world, there are quota.

Those students do not want to study/learn at all. They just wanted to get the paper of the MD degree only w/o learning. In addition, they have threatend their instructors if the instructors do not willing to sign for them to pass w/o exam. That was why those medical students do not know anything AT ALL about medical.
Two concrete examples:
- One of an MD went to PPenh last year from Washington, USA. His goal was to go to PPenh to teach those stupid medical students, so they can get the real medical knowledge. But Dr S.... went to PPenh for only 3 months as medical instructor at the medical school in PPenh. Those medical students have threated Dr S.... to kill him if Dr S.... is not willing to sign his MD degree w/o attending classes or exams. At last Dr S.... returned to the States.
- When I was in PPenh few years ago, I had URI (Upper respiratory Infection) with coughing,sinus,headache,fatigue etc...I went to a Cambodian clinic with a cambodian MD (From PPEnh medical school). I did not have the exam at all. Right away, that stupid Doctor asked his (infirmiere) to give me an injection of Bi-Penicillin. I walked out right away and I gave to that stupid doctor $50.00 and said that" Lok doctor, I am also a Provider from the States. This is completely wrong". Then, that stupid doctor said " Bang I am very sorry. I did not learn a lot at the medical school. I got the medical diploma just to open a clinic to make money".
It is very ridiculous. May be someday, that doctor can kill people by using wrong medications or wrong diagnosis.
These were the true stories.
It so unfair for those smart students who want to be sucessful in their career. Come on, give these smart kids a chance. they are good for the country. The dumb have to cheat to pass. What is going on in the school system? It is rediculous! The school itself or somebody responsible for the school Should treat every students fairly.
9:15AM, I concurred. There were many people died in the hospital bed in Battambang from bogus MDs. My wife was left with a huge scar in the belly. She saw corpses removed from surgery ward drench with blood. Possibly cut the artery; Khmer are lazy and wanted to quick way of doing thing in life...

those people die from viet fake mds who want to kill khmer, not necessarily bogus mds you suggested. there are rumors that go around in phnom penh where viet mds give khmer people overdosed medications.
