Rubber companies are running out of land and need to plant a high yield breed if the industry is to maintain growth, said analysts with the local finance website Vietstock.
Despite the government efforts to increase rubber cultivation, rubber businesses are running out of land and have turned to renting space in Laos and Cambodia. Vietnamese rubber planters plan to open a total 200,000 hectares of rubber fields in the two countries, Vietstock analysts said last month.
However, the two governments are unsure as to whether the pros of gaining more rubber trees will outweigh the cons of losing forests to rubber cultivation, which also degrades the soil.
Therefore, Vietnam rubber firms need to cooperate to create a high-yield breed so that the industry can continue to meet domestic demand and retain its position among markets worldwide, Vietstock asserted.
Global positioning
Vietnam was the world’s fifth-largest rubber producer in 2008 after Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and India. The government now aims for local firms to be producing 1.2 million tons of rubber per year by 2020.
Southern Rubber Industry Joint-Stock Co. (CSM VN), Vietnam’s third-largest listed rubber company, said its pretax profit in the first nine months of this year may reach VND241 billion ($13.5 million), six times its original full-year profit forecast, the HCMC-based company known as Casumina said in a statement.
Trinh Vinh Quyen, an analyst at HCMC-based DongA Securities Co., told Bloomberg last month that “rubber stocks will rise as world prices increase and demand gains. I expect these [rubber] companies will have strong earnings this year.”

Vietnamese People want rent land in Cambodia because Rubber is a good Business.
Why are Cambodians Disabled to run this Business by them self?
The Cambodian People complain that Vietnamese and Thais Business "is too much in Cambodia".

Compare this with Saigon, Hanoi.
The Students cheat with their exams extremely. Even the most dump guy will get his paper and if the Foreign teacher disagree, be sure his father will go to the Director of the School, complain, give money under the table and the sun get his papers!

Yes true 2:16.Cambodian ppl came in america whit nothing.All the cambodian money has been demolishd businessman teachers,doctors etc... during the khmer rouge time.Most khmer ppl in america r not from the city,only low class people still survive(farmer) traumatized by the genocide.The vietnamese during that time was in war too but they dont kill the rich ppl and intellectuel peoples just to conquer the south.Most thai and vietnamese businessman r half chinese.How many chinese r in south-east-asia?Is like an ant.The more you are the more you are stronger and easy to make connections for business.For 500 years until now Cambodia has been trough war whit Thai and Viet.Losing land and populations.Is like you fighting against 2 guys at the end youll loose because is not fair.Khmer ppl are just tired of war and jaleousy just want to live a normal and quiet life.But the Cambodian ppl are still in the map rebuild the country strong like the Angkor Wat.Even we are less populations(14m) compare to Thai Viet almost 100millions populations.Is normal you see a lots of viet-thai.And you dont see Cambodian ppl they are Khmer businessman but you dont see everyday.All they want, is a quiet and good life.And rebuild the country.If theres no year zero,Cambodia would be just like Singapore.Cambodia has one of the most fasters growing economy in south-east-asia.Why? is because we can speak all the languages chinese,korean,thai,viet,english etc in Khmerland.My english is not very good but you can understand.

Cambodia was the pearl of asia before the genocide and the rockn roll music was the most advanced in the 60 in asia even more than China.Thats proove we can dance and got style and learning fast.Thats why neighbouring country wants war whit Cambodia to cause problem because they no Cambodia can growing up fast.But now is just about time, dont talk like you are superior.Go to Japan if your good or korea.Khmer race are one of the most beautiful race in asia dark skin,tall,have hair in the body big lips eyes compare to skinny viet chinese thai.Im not hating but is true.You can ask european girl or other race they will choose khmer lao philippine men.If you see a beautiful viet men or thai is because they r mixing whit khmer race.

i think as long as cambodia implement rule of law, no youn or siem can steal from cambodia. they did it only when cambodia was in the dark ages or stone ages, but nowadays, cambodia have law and everyone must respect and obey our khmer law if they want to do business in cambodia, really. cambodia is becoming more and more like the rest of the developing world out there, really. wake up, people. outdated mentality don't really work in cambodia anymore. people are more educated and more worldly in every way in cambodia, so, they can see and understand what is going on in cambodia for themselves, instead of stay ignorant and dumb a only buy or believe in rumour, hysteria, etc... wake up, people! god bless cambodia.

It is time to reflect about what went wrong in World War 1 and World War 2. Now is the 21st century and we all need to learn from past mistakes and turn it into a positive learning outcome. It is very important to prevent war from happening again and it is very easy solution, we must all work together as a team. To be honest I am a khmer indo-chinese, e.g. there six different Asian nations in me and you all are my brothers and sisters and I don't want to see you guys fighting with one another anymore. On the other hand, try to focus on increasing populations growth is more significant because it will keep our nations’ heritage and country alive well into the future.
