AAJA SF is awarding up to $10,000 in scholarships to outstanding high school seniors and college students as part of its ongoing mission to encourage Asians to pursue journalism,to promote diversity in newsrooms and to encourage fair, accurate and sensitive coverage of Asian Pacific American topics and communities.
You need not be a journalism or mass communications major, but you must demonstrate serious intent to pursue a journalism career. Recipients are generally selected based on their commitment to journalism, journalistic ability, sensitivity to Asian Pacific American issues as demonstrated by community involvement, financial need and scholastic achievement.
