"We need more Chinese investors to invest in Cambodia to boost stronger exports."Cambodia moved toward official diplomatic expansion into China on Friday, as the National Assembly approved a convention allowing the establishment of at least six consular offices across China.
The agreement, which is expected to spur trade, tourism and other activities, also allows China to open more consular offices outside the capital.
Cambodia currently has liaison offices in the cities of Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Kunming and Naning. These will become consular offices, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hor Namhong told the National Assembly on Friday.
The passage of the agreement follows improved relations with China in recent years, including a $1.2 billion aid package in 2009 and the announcement of $14 million in military aid this week.

The old King used to be a pawn of China. Now we have another HUN SEN being a pawn of China. What's wrong with the Cambodian leadership? The OLD king declare Cambodia is a neutral country but he associated with the North Vietnamese communist to fight the US supporting the South. Now we have another Cambodian HUN SEN supporting China communist against the US policy advocate human right around the world. Hun Sen trust the two big BOSS ( CHINA AND VIETNAM ) to back him up if a super power country want to throw him out. Let's call more than a few millions Khmers to rise up and stand up ourself to remove him from power and later we need support from the UN and super power countries after he's being out of power. This is the only HOPE to kick a dictatorship of Cambodian ruler out.
In 1970, we was with Americans, fighting against communists backed by China, we lost, NOW, why don't we change, don't commit the same error twice, be with China, for once, USA is poor and cannot afford to help us anymore, after all how much USA help Cambodia in 1970, $250 000 000 per year ? not directly but thru south Vietnam ?
Forgive me for openly confessing that I am unashamedly a poor illiterate Khmet who is repeatedly speaking or asking nonesenses!
There is profoundly great that China will help us to rebuild our country, my simple question is where those Billion dollar will be gone? Sen's and his parasites' pockets or directly or exactly build the nation?
My one more question is who will pay Billion dollar's debt?
Pol Pot was paying with rice, while the entire New People were hellishly starved to death!
Things goes around it's coming around. So I believe one of these day HUN SEN and his gangsters will be prosecute in the future for their crime. Thanks GOD for the technology that we have now to save all the documents what they do and did till now. If Hun Sen's wife innocent and not a murder of Piseth Pelika, she MUST face with a french court now to show she is not a killer of an actress. No doubt she is GUILTY as hell.
