I think some khmers lives are worst and worst than Pol POt time
The government has the duty to take care of the Cambodian people in need in and out side of the country. In this case, the government should at least pay attention and do something to help them OR the people can vote them down because the government is no longer serving you.
the problem i see is lack of drainage system like we all take for granted in the western countries, etc... do something to rectify this problem once and for all, really! it's called lack of or too sustainable living, need to wake up and see the world how the world advanced in their living standard, really!

You don't understand the landscape of Phnom Penh. You have no clue what you are talking about. Did you ever live in Phnom Penh in the 50s, 60s and early 70s?
Currently, while the country is still poor, you don't need to do anything you describe to simulate your western country. All you need to do is to stop filling the natural lake with sand. This lake serves as a natural reservoir for excess water during the rainy season. Mr. Van Molyvann has already warned them of this problem already.
If the government were smart and not short-sighted, it would not allow the lake to be filled up with sand, it would instead develop the lake into a nice visiting place where people can come to enjoy nature, relax and have some barbacues. This way, the city is not overcrowded with buildings; its modern architecture intermingled with natural lake creates a very pleasant environment for people to live in.
What they are doing to Phnom Penh, as far as construction is concerned, is very short-sighted and this further increases the right perception of their uneducated stupidity and inability with respect to city planning.
They want money from Lao Meng Khin's company and all they care is money. With so much aids being poured into Cambodia they are still hungry for more money to fill up their pockets at the destruction of their very country they profess daily to love.

The CPP govt and all senators from this party do not care about Khmer poor people,what they care are MONEY and POWER. If they have POWER, they have MONEY.The money and power,they get from cheating,hushing money,grabbing land people and selling it to be rich. when the elections come,the CPP still win. How they win ? Cheat to win.Spend money to buy the voters or threaten them to vote for them.The CPP care about Vietnamese people such as the Vietnamese in Kompong Chhnang .The CPP provide land,build houses for them,but Khmer people,they burnt houses,chased them away like dogs without masters. We saw this video,the CPP does not care about these Khmer people. Wake up Khmer people,fight back to get freedom by voting the other party.
