The expressway will be 110km long, 35m wide and include 8 lanes for traffic travelling at designed for speeds up to 120km per hour.

they build highways through Cambodia as though they are building a military expressway in their through their own country.

No problem with highway, Cambodia need highways, but to have a foreign country build your a highway from their country direct into the heart of your country is a bit insane and neurotic.

Imagine Mexico building a highway right up to Washington.

A highway stops where an international border should begin and each country is responsible for their own development.

This is clearly working inside Cambodia's internal matters which some people will proudly proclaim as "what's wrong with development and building highways!"

See the big picture yet?

Beggars can't be chosers. of course it will benefit cambodia but it will benefit even more vietnam as they can transport their exports to phnom pen faster and cheaper. Not to mention dominate the cambodian market. What do you think thailand is doing building roads for free or financing roads. For the same reason.
nothing comes free , there are always strings attached.

Although it could be a reason for Vietnamese control over Cambodia, there are also a need for Cambodia to build and compete with the rest of the world efficiently. If we continue to fear, we cannot build anything and Cambodia will never be number 1 and will always behind. So to balance that fear, my suggestion is to go ahead build it and Cambodia must continue the path of independence from foreign interference especial from Vietnam because of the close border proximity; and at the same time Cambodia must continue to strengthen institutional government and invest in education.

1/4 of the national expenses goes to Hun Xen own's bodyguards. This is no benefit for Cambodia but to protect one top moneys to cotrol the other monkeys and to oppress further the innocent Khmer people. I never believe that in the 21st century Khmer people appear to be more dumb than a century ago. What will have and do in future if not be the slaves of this puppetic government.

Any fucken highway must stop at the international border!

The disease, the crime, the human trafficking can spread so fast with the arrival of highway, and who know what else can spread like a wild fire into Cambodia!

Cambodian must say no! But I do agree that Cambodia must connect all Cambodian provinces and borders through the network of highways and bridges so that way the whole country can develop evenly!
