Thai culture, tradition, literary and art works are an extension of the Khmer's. 50%-60% of Thai vocabulary are Khmer. The entire "Thailand" was a Khmerland.
The khmer were gradually swamped and bred out now "Thailand" by Tai/Thai migrants. Invasion of migrants is the word. The Chinese and Vietnamese are now doing the same to the remaining kHmer in cambodia. The Knmer are about to be extinct.
