The Phnom Penh Post
Comedian Lorsy, whose real name was Pok Sareth, died in a traffic accident at about 1:00am yesterday.
The comedian, who briefly entered politics in 2003 as the undersecretary of state for the Ministry of Culture and Fine Art, crashed his vehicle after leaving a bar in Phnom Penh. The accident occurred on National Road 2 in the capital’s Meanchey district.
Police sources said he died instantly. His younger cousin, Sorn Srey Aun, described him as the backbone of the family. His death would grieve family members, artists and people nationwide, she said.
Lorsy was 47 years old. He leaves a wife, Po Srey Lorn, 38, two daughters and two sons.

i have no doubt this guy is an alcoholic and drunk and driving. if the police didn't catch him for driving drunk, of course, traffic accident like this will kill, so, that's why they prohibit drinking and driving, you know! next time, get a taxi, ok!

He actually joined FUNCIPEC back then and helped prince Ranarith to campaign in the election. He was awarded the position of undersecretary of state for fine art department by Ranarith for his help. Lorsy was a member of Ranarith's funcipec back then, and I think he followed prince Ranarith to Ranarith's new party. He was not a member of CPP.
talk about corruption, the ex funcipec people were the most corrupted of them all, you know! i don't like funcipec for being too corrupted and ineffective and stupid, etc, you know! glad they are now history political party, you know!
